Spring Golf! Photo submitted by Sshipper on 03/09/2022
Great day on the course.
It was a little hot the day we went there. This is a beautiful course. The bunkers were in great shape. Someone needs to pursue getting google to change their directions to the course. We were late for our tee times because it sent us to the maintenance entrance. The staff worked with us to get us on the course. Prices were a little high for the bar area. A regular size Snicker bar was 2.50.
Nice course
Have played here many times in the past. Needed one more course not too far from north Myrtle beach. Haven’t played here for quite a awhile. Maybe 10 years. Always had this course graded as avg. i remember lots of doglegs. Today we played around in 4 hours the group in front of us had 3 and we never waited. Greens looked like they were aerated recently but they rolled good. One bad tee area on 9 at magnolia. Rest of course was solid. Treated nice there. Ranger came around with water. Cart girl caught is once per nine. We were pleasantly surprised and will come back.
Greens Plugged
Love this course but didn’t know it had been closed for 2 weeks and the day we played was the first.
Just punched the greens ( and whole course) with tons of top dressing. Probably got a bit of a discount at 45 bucks but meh value. No chance to play the ball down.
Great staff with nice layout
Played Azalea then Magnolia. Great pace.nice layout. Good friendly staff. Went to grill for lunch on the turn. Which went well too
Pleasantly Surprised
One of those courses that I always chose something else. Visited the calabash area two or three times per year for the past twenty five. Brunswick Plantation was always on the radar but either I or someone in my group had a “better” idea. Well Brunswick Plantation is the better idea. Two of us made it around without bumping in to anyone. Course was great tee to green. I’m already checking the calendar for the return trip.
No amenities
Course was nice but no water at all to drink on the course. The cart person was not present at all. Recommend bekmg your poem water and snacks.
Pro shop also closes early, very disappointing
Great End
Was a great end to a great trip to MB. Played at 7:15 and we were done in a tidy 3 hours. Course was in great condition and the greens were the best I played all week. Starters knew what they were doing, saw the ranger a couple of times and seemed like he was on top of the players. Will definitely be back in the future.
Great time
Course was in great shape considering the warm weather that came in.
Bar cart & Bar tenders where friendly
Course people and outside staff where great and responded immediately when we needed them.
However, app reservation said $75 per player for golf & cart. The pro shop charged $100 each. Was here to enjoy ourselves and didn’t want to haggle with him. Otherwise I would have given them a top rating. Everything else was really great.
