Great value
Played Dogwood/Azalea nines. Great layout and course was in great shape. Had the first tee time of the day so breezed through the front nine in 1.5 hrs. Course double books tee times so had to wait for groups starting to make the turn and sat behind a bunch of slow groups and waited the entire 2nd nine which took 2 hrs and 15 min. I would definitely play it again but so frustrating that courses in this area double up the tee times.
Tale of two nines
I played the Azalea to Magnolia Route. Overall, the course was in great shape and the greens were the fastest of the week. Azalea was a great 9 that keeps you on your toes and has a little something for everyone, including #4 which is postcard worthy. Despite a fairly full tee sheet, the pace was still at about 2 hours. When I turned to Magnolia, a log jam developed at #2. The pace slowed to a crawl thanks to one foursome not playing ready golf and evaluating every shot like it was the US Open. The marshal I had seen 3 times on Azalea never made it to Magnolia and it made for almost a 3 hour back nine. At a 27 hole complex, that is inexcusable. Also, Magnolia was a mostly bland mix of holes compared to
Azalea. I’d like to try Dogwood to Azalea next time, that seems to be the ticket.
Excellent Course!
Love this place. Pace of play was great. Course was in great condition. Friendly staff. Awesome value for the money. If you are in the area, I highly recommend playing any of the courses at Brunswick Plantation.
Great greens and fairways!
Course is in really good shape. The greens roll well, and the fairways are nice! Would play again easily
Excellent condition
Great track and very affordable. Employees accommodating and very good help..
Brunswick Review
Staff was professional and friendly. Course was in very good condition!
Course was a great layout
Course was in really good shape for the amount of rain it took on the day before we played Ranger said about 3-4 inches on Tuesday. Will definitely play again
Friendly staff, well maintained, and a nice layout. Would certainly return here again!
Ok
You can tell from the staff, that the membership here is a bunch of privileged brats. Membership will sit in there homes, watch you and call the club house will a multitude of complaints. I feel bad for the staff.
Good Average Play
There is nothing fancy about Brunswick but it’s a good play at a decent price. Greens rolled well and fairways were nicely mowed. Just a little more effort and this course would be a gem.
SLOWWWWW PLAY
First off, this course was in great shape. Three nines with one being aerated and closed. I was very pleased with the conditions. The starter was very polite and sorta forewarned us.. That being said, I played this course regularly years ago before it was bought out by a franchise. Since then, they've been known to placate to members and residents. Today, that proved to be true. They decided it was a good idea to have a "couples tourney" on Father's Day Sunday for the resident 65+ year olds. Nightmare round. Imagine a foursome lining up their 4th putt!!! OMG!!! On top of that, the bugs were atrocious! I'll never go back...
Great track
Course was in great shape. Greens rolled true. Challenging but fair layout. Played here on a Friday but played another local course on Wednesday. We wish we would have doubled up here so we knew the course better. Will definitely be back next time we are in Myrtle beach.
Lack of customer Service
Guys handling carts/bags are unpleasant, rude and poorly represent the course. Should not be working with the public!
Unable to play due to rain, course closed
I was unable to play due to rain. The course closed. How do I ensure I don't get charged for a round I did not play due to course being closed?
thank you,
Byron
