Brunswick
Condition of the course was poor overall. Fairways a bit overgrown, greens were slow but not bad. Staff was friendly.
A gem in Calabash
Greens were moderately fast, putted well , and were in great condition. Fairways and tee boxes were well maintained. Loved the layout with 3 nine hole courses. I played Magnolia and Dogwood and thoroughly enjoyed both.
There was a problem with my Golf NOW reservation but the staff at the course handled it seamlessly. I would recommend this course to friends and anyone who likes a challenging and well maintained course.
Great variety between the different 9's
I was on vacation and played the Azalea and Magnolia 9's one morning. Perfect situation for me, as a 4-some was ahead of me and no one behind me.
I was able to play two complete balls the entire round which always adds a level of excitement and fun.
The first 9 was a little more open and allowed for some misses off the tee even though I didn't have many. The layout and routing was great and the course played a little longer than normal I'm sure since it was a little wet.
The 2nd 9 wound through the trees and penalized any missed tee ball, but the routing was again great and I enjoyed it immensely.
Would definitely play again...I think the yardage was somewhere around 6800 from the back tees, so it wasn't too long...probably played about 7000.
And for the price? Can't beat it. Really had a great time, the staff was awesome, and I'd play again in a heartbeat.
Good value for the money
Average difficulty and in good shape. Greens roll true. You can play more spectacular courses in the area but as the title states...it's a good value. Give it a try!
Enjoyable round for our foursome
Course was in good shape;greens a bit bumpy and sandy from aeration about a month ago (my guess);some challenging holes;some scoring holes; no complaints; solid value for JULY play. Staff friendly and attentive.
Just Alright
Booked on Golf Now...should have called the course as the greens had been aerated. Guy behind the counter was as friendly as a mop...seemed to be annoyed that he had to check someone in. Course was also over watered...and sloppy soggy. I have played well over 30 courses in MB...will not be playing here again!
This is a great course with very friendly people except for the starting is somewhat disorganized and the pace is always terrible.
Happy Birthday Eve America
Great Round. Played Azalea, then Magnolia. Both courses were better than expected. Greens, fringe, fairway, rough all well kept. A couple tee boxes were not as great as all the others, but didn't effect the play. Azalea was in great condition. No issues at all. Magnolia was not quite as great but still in very good condition. Course is in a neighborhood so a fair amount of sharp "dogleg" holes but was very pleased. A few reviews from earlier this year weren't favorable but I didn't experience anything along those lines. Will definitely consider playing here again if back later in the year.
Had a great day
From bag drop to the final putt. The only thing I could possibly complain about was the way I played and still it was a fantastic day.
Thanks Brunswick.
Nice Memorial Day Round
Reviewed Golf.com and found a great deal for this classy place. 1230 tee time late for some but went right thru 18 holes without waiting to take a shot. Course was very nice, sand traps a little hard, but I wasn't in many. Decorated nice for the holiday. Thanks for golf.now and BP for participating!
Course pin selections bad!
This course is nicely set up but, don't understand putting pins where the green was having difficulty growing grass. 75% of the pins were in burnt out areas. Makes no sense having 90% of the green with good growth and putting the pin in the area with bald spots. Must have been saving it for the members.
Very Disappointed
Been playing this course for years. It always stood out as one of the Best. Totally disappointed this time. Owners are not putting the money back into the course. Greens were in rough shape, sand traps were like Hardpan. Stay away.
