Good value
Not bad for a $25 round. The starter even let me blaze through the additional 9 I didn’t get to play.
Overall, I’d say they keep things inexpensive and the course reflects it in quality. Not the greatest turf but manageable. Not too many shape shots, kind of an open layout. Don’t expect this to be a super aggressive mountain course. And be prepared for the north course and it’s layout. The course zigzags and you really gotta double check tee boxes to make sure you are hitting in the right spot.
Expect typical value golfers out there. Speakers rocking, chugging beers and screaming profanities. Not a huge deal but just know what you are getting.
Loved the south course the most. Very nice layout cut into the trees.
Lastly, thank you for keeping the trees. Gary Player, the tree hugger, would be thankful.

Pace of play was VERY slow! Greens on south side were slow, and on west side were fast, All down in a valley, ZERO elevation changes!
Great course
I love this course my wife and I always have a good round here. Also the new golf carts are amazing and the GPS is great!
Muddy Mess
The entire area has had an incredible amount of rain. But the course was a muddy mess. They should simply have closed and allowed the course to dry out. Obviously it was cart path only but it was apparent they hadn’t been able to mow for an extended period. Portions of the fairway had patches of grass 6-8 inches deep. Hard to locate the ball when it was in the middle of the fairway on some holes. Greens fee was low but the whole experience was exceedingly frustrating. Every step entailed stepping in mud, grass up to my ankle or goose poop.

Nice course. I wished they had more food options at the restaurant but the server there was awesome.
Best I've played this year
Have played about 12 courses in western N.C., not played Maggie Valley or Grove Park yet, but these were the best fairways I've come across. A very hard-working crew keeps these 3 courses near perfect ! Great practice greens, driving range, fine lounge/dinner spot, other players cordial and helpful. Only bad thing I've found are the rooms - less than desirable and over-priced for what they are, but the golf is just fine, thank you !
Great day on the golf course!
While I had played the course a couple of times, my out of town friends had not. It was an extremely hot day, but all I heard from my friends was how beautiful the course is, how kind and professional the staff is, so glad we chose to play, even in the heat. I booked on Golf Now. Overall, great experience!

This is a well maintained course and is nice on the eyes. It features wide open fairways . The par fours are long. The greens run true. Big greens. Nice course w/o any major challenges. I liked it.
Wet day
Course was in good shape for a wet sloppy day. Rained two days previous and all during the round, greens didn’t have any pooling and the fairways were not mush.
Greens in Nice shape....
Played a few days after heavy rain but the course was in good shape. Not much water in unwanted areas now that we’re approaching summer, unlike the last time I played here ,twice in 5 days back in early May. Greens were in great shape, no puddles in bunkers / better maintained course. Even tho it was ladies day (Wednesday), and the North Course was off limits, the pace of play was good, finished in under 4 hours. Price was well worth it, about $38 on golf now. Cheap beer at then turn, nice electric carts, 30 min from Asheville, well worth the deal for under $40, as prices have gone up around the area.
Great Time
The course was in great shape. Hamburgers in the Bar were outstanding. Met up with a Florida couple and had a great time.

Enjoyable. The fairways could be in better shape. Nice course for the money .
Very wet
It is not fair to give this course a poor rating at this time as they recently had lots of rain which resulted in lots of water on the course. The scenery is beautiful and the course is fun to play. I will return again after it has had a chance to dry out.

2nd time playing. Rain soaked condition.
We thought it was just ok. Played South & West course.
