Was able to get a Golf Now deal the West Course is in great shape! Greens are fast always a fun course to play!!

Always wanted to play here and glad I did! We buzzed around there in less than 4 hours and played 9 more at a reasonable charge. Greens were fast and true, fairways and tees were perfect. Big fan!

My wife and I decided to stop at the Grandover resort and play a round of golf on the east course on our why to the North Carolina mountains. We have stayed at the Grandover resort many times in the past few years and played both the east and west courses each time. Both courses were always in mint perfect condition. We were both quite surprised on 09/26/2026 to find the condition of the east course to very bad this time. The tee boxes and fareways had bare spots and ruts. Many of the greens were just ok. The second cut next to all the fareways was close to 2 1/2 inches. Needless to say many balls were lost that day. We always loved staying for a couple of days at the Grandover resort and playing a couple of rounds on the east and west courses. Hopefully the conditions we encountered on our last visit to Grandover resort was due to bad long term weather or something else.

Price is high, but sometimes you have to pay for what you get. Pace of play was great, we finished 15 minutes ahead of pace and it was Labor Day..

Waste your time ! Waste your money! The leadership must be narrow-minded and unsophisticated. Chaotic management ! I own manage more than 20 golf courses, but never like that !

After spending a couple days of getting my butt have to me by Mike Strantz, I decided to try out something a little quieter and what I found was the perfect combination of southern charm with a kick of Carolina heart. Every hole had my jaw on the floor, I can’t wait to come back and try the other course they have to offer.

Course in excellent condition was a little wet the day we played! Greens consistent just a little slow due previous nights rain. Great test of golf!

I recently played The Grandover Resort East course and was unfortunately disappointed with the overall condition of the course. Given that a typical weekend round can cost over $100, I expect the course to be maintained to a standard that reflects that price point and the expectations associated with a resort golf experience.

What was particularly disappointing is that I played the course less than six weeks ago, and the conditions were noticeably better at that time. Since then, the course appears to have declined significantly in terms of maintenance and presentation.

Despite the area receiving ample rain over the past several weeks, the course looked surprisingly dry and almost baked out in several areas. The greens were especially disappointing, appearing shaggy and generally unkept rather than having the manicured appearance I would expect from a resort course. The tee boxes were also in poor shape, with numerous dead spots and areas that appeared heavily worn.

The bunkers were another area of concern. Many were extremely hard and compact, and they did not appear to have received the level of maintenance necessary to provide a consistent playing surface. Overall, the course gave the impression that routine maintenance and manicuring had been scaled back considerably over the past month or two.

I understand that golf course conditions can fluctuate throughout the season, and weather can certainly play a role. However, the contrast between my round less than six weeks ago and my most recent experience was significant. For a course commanding weekend rates of more than $100, I believe golfers should reasonably expect better overall conditions and presentation.

The layout itself is enjoyable, and I would like to see the course return to the condition I experienced on my previous visit. Unfortunately, based on this most recent round, the course did not feel like it was being maintained to the standard I would expect from a resort facility at this price point.

Me and a friend went to Greensboro for the Wyndham Championship this past weekend and wanted to golf the day before. Not knowing the area I got on Golfnow and found this course. Watched some YouTube videos, that didn’t do the course justice. Course conditions were great and the layout was fantastic!! Great course for the price!! Would recommend it to anyone!

Totally enjoyed my round. Great game but terrible score card. First time playing, learning how to play it in the right way.

Will come again for sure!
