A Great day !
We played on a Sunday with a threesome. Pretty much had the course to ourselves. Even with a lot of rain the past week the course drained quite well. Cart paths only (of course) and when you walked out you understood why. Have heard stories of bad experiences in the clubhouse with staff (especially when using golfnow.com) but I can say they were polite and treated us great. Any time I have friends come from out of town and they want to play the best- I take them to Grandover. In My opinion both courses are the best in the triad! If you are considering and have never played there...do yourself a favor and book a tee time today !!
Best course I've ever played
Most fun I've had in awhile. I feel in love with this course. A must play for any skill level.
great golf experience
The Grandover E. course is challenging and yet fun to play. It is visually wide open but the fairway bunkering, sand ,water.and layout of greens makes it a target course. The greens are huge, with multipe levels so pin placement and approach accuracy are crucial. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the facility top notch. I highly recommend it.
This course has great features
This course is in top notch condition and is well worth the value.
Great course with helpful staff.
Great value for a top notch course, well maintained and greens were rolling medium speed and very true.
Took a good friend, he loved it.
Wonderful course to place.....good change from many other courses.
Great course!!
Great course, Be advised time of year to play not the best as they don't cut the rough. 4" of Bermuda and ball will sink to bottom, very difficult to find even if only 6 inches off fairways. Staff says they just finished a NCAA qualifier and they demanded such conditions and could not cut them due to time of year.????
Too much time looking for slightly errant shots that might catch a bit of rough. Only negative thing to say about course.
Very picturesque though and a pleasure with undulating greens.
Beautiful course and great price. Unbelievable value.
Had a fantastic time on a Sunday afternoon. The course was in immaculate condition. Didn't see many other golfers out there, it was quite windy and there had been a college tournament there earlier. So the pace of play was as fast as we wanted it to be.
Greens were in unbelievable shape. Very modern GPS units in the carts.
Just an incredible value.
Grandover is a great golf venue.
The course was in extremely good shape- better than most I've played this summer. The golf staff was exceptionally friendly, especially compared to some of the rude folks you run into in golf course pro shops. The Hot Deal price was phenomenal, but only offered late in the afternoon when you would expect a faster pace of play, but this round took over 4.5 hrs to complete- it would have been very frustrating if had I paid the regular rate. Overall, a great place to play! Just be prepared for a long round.
What a deal!!!!
Beautiful course and great price through play now!!!
Both courses are very nice, well maintained. Challenging layouts with great greens. Undulations and hidden breaks on greens make reading ability a must. Fabulous clubhouse and resort. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice practice area and course is easily accessible from interstate. Two of the best layouts in the triad. Played the West this time, more forgiving than the East course, but no pushover.
