Beautiful views
Scenic course with beautiful views of surrounding mountains. Greens were in good shape albeit somewhat slow. ?10 on stimp meter. Would be a tremendous test of short game if greens were faster. Fairways in good shape for a public course. Some bare patches. Good layout and interesting undulations of the greens worthy of the Donald Ross name. Pace of play felt very slow but played as a twosome behind several foursomes. Took about 4hrs 20 minutes. Excellent value. Will definitely play it again.
Enjoyed maggie valley
Leafs were at their peak and we highly enjoyed our round. Beautiful course.
Maggie Valley
I have lived in Haywood County, NC most of my and had played many golf courses in the area, but had never played Maggie Golf course until this day, and I’m very glad I did. It was a beautiful course, surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains as a natural backdrop! The golf carts had touchscreens mounted in them which shows hole layout, distance to the hole, and to tally your scores. Along with all of this the Staff were amazing friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Would recommend this course and can’t wait to go again!
Beautiful
Beautiful day to play, course in great shape for this time of year. Very slow front nine, eased up a little on the back. Can’t wait to play again
Greens punched
I think I should have been told that the greens were going to be punched before I spent my money. How can it be worth $50 dollars when you can't make a legit putt,if I had known ahead of time I would not have booked this course until it's had time to heal up.
Maggie Valley
This is a very nice course well-maintained Bentgrass Fairways and greens. The front nine is essentially in a valley while the backnine is more mountainous. Very enjoyable to play ; will definitely play it again.
Fun course?!
Course is fun but is in need of attention. Many areas have dead grass and dirt that should be fixed. The tee boxes are terrible! Full of divots and large weeds and dirt. Also, a couple of tee boxes have a downward slant. Not good for teeing off.
Normally Love Playing at Maggie Valley
We have played this course several times and it’s always been in great shape with friendly staff. This was the first time we were disappointed. The staff in the Pro Shop were not welcoming, nor did they provide any information to hit practice balls, etc. The Starter and Gentlemen taking care of the carts were both friendly. The course has not been mowed and looked neglected. The Pin High Bar and Grill closed at 6:00pm in peak golf season? We played here in June and it was a much different experience.
Fun course
Fun course with two different nines. the front is rather flat but the back is hilly and mountainous. Needs to be better maintained as there are many spots that are in need.
Overpriced
We’ve played MVGC several times for several years but we’ve never seen it so badly cared for… clumps of long grass/weeds around greens that’s supposedly second cut from green!!
Tee boxes in poor condition also.
It was a beautiful day
Then we got a severe thunderstorm warning. Game over after seven holes. Good course and value for the summer.
