Definitely worth it!
Absolutely beautiful course. Only reason for the downstar was the restaurant was closed on Mondays. Had to survive on muffins, which were excellent. Definitely a must play!
$25 for a rider when not busy
I’m a disabled golfer ( keep up with pace of play just fine ) and this course was completely empty and they tried to charge me $25 for my mom to just ride. Original price of tee time was $42.
Hmmm...9 or 18?
My biggest issue was that when we showed up to play, we were informed that the front 9 was closed due to having been aerated. So our 18 holes consisted of playing the back 9 twice.
Nice course though, very pretty surroundings. the folks we talked too were all very nice.
Back 9 was tough as it was hillier with tricky greens. As a high handicapper, not my best round ever (that's as much on me as the course!).
Aerate
When I booked our T time I was told that the course was in the process of being aerated. Unfortunately when we got to the course we were told that we could not play the back nine and had to play the front nine twice. I wish I would have been told about this at the time I was booking my T time.
Aeration and three putts!
The front nine had been aerated and sanded. Sorry putting conditions. The back nine was closed and it was cart path only for the front nine. The pace of play was excellent as there was no one on the course. Had we known the greens had been dressed and only nine holes open we would not have booked this course. Disappointing to say the least!
Poor review all the way around
Let’s start from the beginning. When we get there, we find out that it’s cart path only and that the greens were just punched the day before. But did not go out of their way to be friendly. Once we got out on the course, we realized that there was no reason at all to be cartpath only. No give in the staff they just wanted it to be cartpath only because they were having a bad day. And I’m not kidding. It was as dry as any course I’ve ever seen. Once we finish nine and started to the back 9, we hit in the number 10 and then this rude guy that works for the COURSE comes running up and says the back 9 is closed. Why didn’t somebody in the clubhouse tell us the back nine was closed before we started. So we ended up playing the front again. Sand all around the hole just stopped like it was snow on the green. This is about the third time. I’ve had a bad experience at Maggie and I’ve always loved this course but I believe I’m through for a while. Definitely stay away right now. This place is awful.
Well kept
Good experience. Picturesque and well maintained almost park like settings. 2 nines were very different. Left my phone in the cart was pleased to see one of the attendants with it looking around for me as i returned to look for it. Thank you! Only issue was a lot of people were being let off back to back with no spacing in between which kept the pace down and led to an impatient twosome hitting into us a couple of times. Good experience overall
Wonderful Golf Course
One of the very best golf courses i have ever played. Fantastic set up, and stunning views. If you ever get the chance to play this course, please do so, a real gem
A first for sure
I’ve played it before but my view has completely changed since they decided to charge me a 25$ cart rider fee for someone who is not playing and is just riding around. Absolutely ridiculous and so weak. I’ve played hundreds of different courses and is a first for charging that. Unbelievable to think that would happened. Definitely will think about where I play next time when that occurs.
Great for 9.
I personally have played Maggie several times and I prefer the front 9 over the back. The back is still fun but definitely more challenging. Overall good course.
