This course is a nice value for the quality of the course. Also a very fair layout which for an enjoyable round of golf. A couple of tough holes but nice overall. Will go back for sure.
This was a fantastic golf course !
We will be back this Fall to play again...!
Course not in good shape
The greens are slower than slow. Been playing this course since 1988 and this was the least amount of fun I’ve had. Actually enjoyed Lake Junaluska better.
The course was in better condition than I would have expected. So much rain the last few days. But that being said the course was in pretty good shape. The course called me that morning and asked if it was alright to come in an about an hour later. Never had a course call me because they were delaying because of the wet conditions. So thumbs up for that. But had a great time. Got paired up with a local and that helped a lot because of course knowledge.
Good condition
This course kind of grows on you, especially when it is in good condition.
A mix of fair and challenging holes.
Pace of play can get slow but overall I recommend.
Fun course in good shape but took forever to play
Nice layout and great Mountain View’s. Course in good shape. . Took over 2 1/2 hours to play back nine due to one slow group which spoiled experience. Needs to monitor slow play.
Nice, picturesque course to play
Several holes had challenging greens. Whoever lays out the tee boxes for seniors should never have a par 4 over 365 yards. Most senior golfers do not hit their drives over 200 yrs. Hole #3 is an example of such a hole and having a par 3 hole 180 yards is also too far for a senior golfer like hole #15. The youngsters only have to play 5 yards further.which isn't fair if playing for money.
Nice, picturesque course to play
The white tees had some long holes especially #3. The greens on holes #12, 13, 14 and 17 are not fair where the flag was placed that day near the false front on #12, on the front of #13 that sloops away and you cannot hold the green if you hit the green first, on the right back corner on #14 which sloops to the left and on #17 which sloops away severely and the flag at the front.
Perfect conditions
I always enjoy playing MVCC. Course was in great condition and didn’t run into anyone. Pace of play was perfect. Great weather too. Great round of golf.
Great little course with beautiful greens
Played this course many times and it never disappoints. Excellent maintenance, challenging back 9 and well managed play. Highly recommended.
