How far to the green?
Fairways in great shape. Pin placement was for a tournament, not regular play. Lots of flags on slopes or in sucker palcements for an aproach shot. Made for an interesting round. My biggest critique is that there oare no markers of any kind to give you distance to the green; no 150 poles or markings on the cart path. If you don't have a laser, you're up the creek. Course was busy, but we finished in 3 1/2hr.
Anything off the fairway was in deep enough grass that you had to walk over your ball to find it.
All in all, an enjoyable day.
Not mountain golf
The course was in good shape and the greens were challenging. Not long, but the course required strategic shots. We didn’t get the views and dramatic drops we were looking for in a mountain course. The course is fine, but not a mountain golf experience.
Little things
Mixed feelings about this course..
Not a bad layout but things like no consistency on yardage markers and a lot of GUR areas..
Lady at pro shop wasn't mean but didn't pleasantly tell me about collared shirt policy..
Pace of play good on front nine but not on back and friendly player assist but also throwing our timing off..
Greens don't hold..
Water coolers had warm water..
Food at restaurant was good but pricy.
Maggie valley
Pace of play very slow on back 9
Overbooked
Course is in great shape
From tees to greens course was in excellent condition. Greens run true . Challenging shots into the greens.
Great day with perfect conditions and cart crew were a great help.
Great Value for a challenging golf course
What a great conditioned golf course for a challenging course and sporty also!
A tale of two nines
Front nine is nice and fairly flat - the valley.
Back 9 is appropriately named the mountain and is excellent mountain course with significant elevation changes from tee to green.
Very nice layout with only a few blind shots but be sure to use your rangefinder since driver is not needed on all of the tee shots on the back.
Greens were in good shape, well-maintained and rolling true but not too fast. Nice variety of short and long par 3 and par 4s.
Will play this course again next ime we are in the area.
