Good 1st 9, disappointing back
Great front 9, good condition, no pace problems. Made the turn, back 9 conditions weren’t great, wet spots and concrete tee boxes. A 2some of kids came up speeding through groups behind us and caught us by the end, hitting shots while we’re on the fairway. Disappointing end to an otherwise great 14 holes.
Tanglewood Reynolds
The course is a challenging little course were a driver is not always the best play off the tee. This course will make you think...great course.
A tree lined course
An old school course. Hilly, tight with doglegs. The course is well designed and challenging. Elevation offers a variety of shot opportunities. Once you reach the green the challenge continues with slopes and bunkering. A real risk reward course. Look forward to playing the course again.
the new Reynolds course at Tanglewood
I have played the Reynolds course many times over the last 20 years. To be honest the conditions of the course had gotten so bad over the last few years that I quit playing it. It is a layout that I've always enjoyed and felt it was more challenging than the championship course. because they have closed the championship course the Reynolds course is seeing increased play and Money has been put into improving the conditions. One of the biggest changes is decent sand in the traps and the traps are actually being raked by the course management. This is a huge Improvement. I suggest that you play the Reynolds course now while it's getting this attention and money put into it.
What happened??
You are letting this course go. I don’t know if it’s financial or not ,but it’s in very bad shape.traps are full of weeds, tees are tore up no cart drinks, just very disappointed that I brought my friends from this area there.GREAT LAYOUT BUT PLAYS LIKE A 10 dollar Florida course.Wake up people and save this place.
Fun course
I have played Tanglewood Champions course a few times. The majority of the time was when they had the Senior tour playing there. The course was recently aerated which caused the greens to be bumpy but I have seen it in a lot better shape. Still with that said I always like playing the course.
Hit a shot, wait 15 mins....need more marshall activity. The twosome in front of me hit 2 balls every hole
Challenging course with fun atmosphere.
Always enjoy playing this course. It is a fun layout and challenges your finesse on several holes.
Challenging
First time playing this course. I'm originally from Florida so the elevations of the course I had to adapt to. Lots of fun, greens and fairways in good shape, played by myself and only waited a few times for a pair in front of me. Good overall experience.
Tees were hard, greens were not very smooth and there was a lot of brown grass.
A Great Experience
My son is a senior in high school, so during spring break we decided to play a course we had never played. Great experience! The only reason i rated conditions a 4 stars is that it was still dormant in the rough areas and some "spring cleaning" was being done on the course the day we were playing. The course was challenging but not to the point of breaking hearts of average golfers. My son is much better than I am and he scored about 12 strokes higher than his average at our home course.
I would definitely recommend this course to any experienced golfer. I do plan on going back this summer or fall.
needs work
Good thing they are shutting the course down in May, it needs some work.
