Manor House at Tanglewood Park

About Manor House at Tanglewood Park
The Manor House Bed and Breakfast isn't your typical golf hotel or resort, but its location inside the 1,100-acre Tanglewood Park does have its advantages. It's within a mile of Tanglewood Park's 45 holes of golf, including the Championship Course, host of the 1974 PGA Championship won by Lee Trevino. The Victorian era manor dating to 1859 has been completely restored. All the rooms include their own private baths and period furniture and decor. Golfers can also stay at the cottage, guesthouse and apartment. Park amenities feature an aquatic center, horse stables, tennis courts and more.Facts

Nice track
Course was in good shape, greens consistent.
Will play again
Average course / outdated club house
Nothing about Tanglewood Reynolds course stood out and made me say wow. Average course for the money .Staff are okay. but act as if there outdated club house and 2 dollar pack of crackers is a privilege to stand in .Snack bar was closed. i am assuming for repairs or maintenance. I should have called and ask ahead of time if they were open . There are other courses in the area that have better customer service , updated pro shop, greens, fairways and facilities. If you want an overall average experience Tanglewood golf course is the place to be
Play on Championship Course Today
Course is very nice and in good shape. Fairways and greens are excellent and tees are fine. Traps need raking. It plays evenly and a nice layout with excellent variety of hole architecture and reasonable hazards, very fair.
Priced to play
We came to Tanglewood from Lincoln county to play not knowing what we were getting into and was very satisfied with our choice. Staff was very helpful couldn’t find my tee because we showed up a day early (LOL) but they let us out at the time we booked
Very nice
Great value for the money. Recently aerated, but once the greens dried out, they rolled true
great condition
Course was in great shape. Greens were smooth and fast.
This is a treasure of a course.
I'm traveling in in the area for a few days. Being from California, I've never played a course like this. I truly enjoyed the forest and the target style golf.
Bad Pace of Play
Way too many big groups playing. The pace of play was around 4 hours 30 minutes for just one person to play.
It is what it is. Good course for the $$
I've played both courses here a bunch of times. Reynolds course today. Got a great GolfNow deal. If you can get on for a discount. It's worth it everytime.
The problem with this course is the layout mixed with the care the club's #2 course gets. The Reynolds course is hilly, tight, and the rough is not healthy enough to do it's job. 5 or 6 very frustrating holes. Great drives bounce down hard fairways, though very short first cuts of rough, and then quickly blast through the dirt that once was the second cut. Great drive is now in the woods.
It's a shame b/c the layout is cool! It just needs attention and with the Championship course as great as it is, I don't expect Tanglewood to pump a bunch of money on the 2nd 18 anytime soon.
If you get a chance to play it cheap, do it! just hit 4irons & 3woods most of the day, hit your putts hard, and enjoy your cold beer. You'll have a good time.
Really good course for the $$
Perfect day, 80* overcast. Greens were smooth, medium pace, did have some crab grass/crows foot in some of them but not so bad that it made a difference. Lot of 3 woods or long irons off the tee even from blues. Much of the course is cut through the woods so shots that are off a bit are ok, but wild shots will be lost. Great deal especially on a hot deal for $12. Still not happy to have a tax of $2 to get into the park, especially since i live in the county and pay taxes to the parks already! Played thru a family of 5 deer within about 20 yards.
Good day for Golf!
Course is always fun and layout is challenging. The greens are a little rough, so hopefully the cooler weather will help.
Very playable
Fast and true greens. A few rough spots on sides of fairways but great course for the money. Played in 4 hours on Labor Day- hard to beat that.
Champions
Greens were awesome, course tough, and.overall great fun!
Nice day
Course was in really good condition! If you get off the fairways they had a few areas with dirt but most areas were good. 2 or 3 bunkers could use some sand but overall good. Greens best part they were receptive and rolled true. Overall a good course for all handicaps as they have a back tee to test the long hitters. $35 on weekend fare priced wished it was closer to graham id play it often
Good Course
Good Course that is in need of a little TLC. Great Fairways and Greens but the Tee Box’s looked like they haven’t been cared for in weeks. Tons of bunkers but they were in great shape. Good layout and challenging. In my opinion there are just too many other courses in the area that are better.
