Old Beau Resort & Golf Club

Staff was very laid back and accommodating. Let us have the option of playing with a single or not. Course was in great shape and pace of play was fantastic. Only minor thing was the range was mats only but everything else was superb.

Great scenery on almost every whole. Very fun to play and well kept. I’ll definitely make the 1 1/2 trip to play again.

Hard to play this mountain course at cart path only, not very wet but not are decisions. Had to call the office because of a group of 6 playing in front of us.

I googled best mountain courses and Olde Beau happened to be in my path of travel. The price was really good and the condition was great. I noticed there were a couple of other courses really close by, but I don’t know anything about them. If you’re thinking about a golf trip, I would probably stay at the resort there because the accommodations in the area are not the best.

We met friends at Olde Beau that have a cabin & play often in West Jefferson. While they were much more used to mountain golf, they agreed that this course was much more challenging than their home course. That being said, it was in great shape & we had a blast!

Do not miss this place! Course is in great shape from tee to green and everything in between. I will be playing here as often as I can. Played from the blues and challenged myself. Makes the par 4 a bit longer.

The views are breathtaking. Please make sure to bring your phone full charged to take pictures. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Views from many tees and greens were fantastic. I think it we played Olde Beau 3 or 4 times we could figure out the blind shots which were many. Will play again.

I think this is one of best courses I have ever played.If u ever get a chance to play here definitely put it on your bucket list. The staff and everyone that plays a part in this course are top notch.Its Fantastic!

Great course in great shape. Weather was perfect and greens were a bit soft but good speed. The bugs were really bad and pro shop didn’t have any bug spray. Make sure to put on the bug spray during your next round at olde beau.

The course was in great condition as always. Greens and fairways were in good condition. The only negative was the slow pace of play. It was a holiday weekend so I guess that is to be expected. Will definitely make a return trip soon.

This was my first time in NC and the first course I’ve played east of AZ. When I pulled up to the entrance, I thought I was in Augusta at The Masters. Then when I got on the course, I thought I had died and went to heaven. I’ve played many great courses in CA, NV, AZ and HI. But, this was my favorite of them all. And…it was less expensive than all of the other great courses I’ve ever played. I absolutely loved every aspect of Old Beau!

Olde Beau never disappoints for a beautiful setting and challenging layout. Today the pace of play was a little slow and there was maintenance work going on and workers left equipment in the fairways during play on a couple holes. They could have and should have been instructed on locating said equipment in consideration of the players. We had to dodge the irrigation sprinklers a couple of times. No big deal but again crews should understand that players have precedence.

Beautiful Course, great scenery. I think back 9 is more difficult with some difficult and unusual golf holes. I may have been more tired but pretty hilly course especially the back. Temperatures are also 8-10 degrees cooler up on the mountain. Great test of mountain golf.

The views, particularly on the back nine are fantastic, great value for the quality and beauty of this course.

I recommend this gem of a course to anyone in the area.
