Springdale at Cold Mountain

2nd golf trip to Maggie valley/ cherroke area and this is the #1 course we have played at!! Great course conditions, perfect pace of play, nice tablets with golf cart to help play out course. Free range session and balls with round (never seen before) and range even had a sand bunker to practice out of. Not one complaints today. It's not cheap at all but def worth the $$ especailly getting it on a hot deal from golfnow app. They give you tee's, towels, I literally have zero complaints. They say back 9 is very challenging and it was def. More than front but not as bad as I thought. I shot a 41 on back 9 and owned that part of the course (for my skill level). I'd golf here everyday if I could. Not sure why it won't let me upload pics but it was a beautiful mountain course surrounded by either mountains or Gorgeous houses.

I had been meaning to play this course for some time and finally took the opportunity. Very glad that I did. It is an excellent course and I highly recommend it. Although we had a bit of a rain delay, the course was in excellent condition. The back nine is quite challenging, but is worth the effort. All in all, an excellent experience and I will be back.

Course was in great shape in spite of dry conditions. There is clearly a lot of investment being made to improve course and amenities. Noted that greens fees were up significantly from prior year, but considering quality of course and amenities, and its trajectory, still a great value.

First time playing the course, we walked into the pro shop and the Pro said, “welcome to the top of the food chain.” He was right! Best conditions of all the courses in the mountains from tee to green, nice layout and smooth pace of play. This one is hard to beat.

I live in AVL and play this course often although this was my first time in 2026. Course is in really nice shape and value for the money is high. Highly recommend.

The new facilities are fantastic. The golf shop guy, Ash was fantastic. It seemed like he followed us throughout or day the insure that we had a great time. Mission accomplished. The report is lucky to have him.

We had been to Springdale starting about forty years ago. Had not been in the past ten years. All of the building improvements are spot on. As an architect, the designs and layout of the new buildings are spot on.

The staff has been spectacular. Ash, the golf shop dude was unbelievable. Made our trip. Springdale is very lucky to have him.

This course is in excellent condition. If you can survive holes 13 through 17 under par is a great accomplishment. One of the best public courses in WNC. Highly recommend. A must play course while you’re in the area.

It was the first time that we played the course and we had a great time. The course was in very good condition - considering the time of the year. Most holes are challenging to play but not super difficult. ,The course is nicely nestled into the valley and the rolling mountains. So there are elevation changes, some blind shots and some narrow fairways. The staff was super friendly. We played on a Monday afternoon and pace of play was great. We did not have to wait once and let a few singles play through. The only small downside was that they charged an extra $4.95 convenience fee to the greenfly, don't know if it was because I booked on GolfNow.com.

To be my first round of 26’, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to play. The weather was great and the course was in wonderful condition. The staff was very friendly and would definitely recommend you try this course if you’re looking for a place to play in the WNC area.

Great views, amazing layout. Perfect course to play for new and experienced players. Offers a wide range of play styles with some tricky holes. Best course in Western NC
