Springdale at Cold Mountain

I picked this course based on pictures I saw online for a visit to Ashville. I will say it was a great place to play. The course is challenging but playable, course was in great shape overall except it the greens were recently aerated and seeded but that's common this time of year. The facilities are new and top notch. The restaurant was awesome with views overlooking the 18th and the food was outstanding. Will definitely play again next time I'm in Asheville (45 min drive)

Best public golf course in the area. Views cannot be beat and the course was fun and challenging. Had a great time except at the Springdale Spasm. Hole 13 made me want to quit golf.

Can’t wait to play there again!

Probably the nicest course I’ve ever played. Front 9 was a nice warm up for the very challenging back 9

We absolutely love this golf course! Mountain views from every hole & great fairway/green conditions! The pros Rodney & Mike are super friendly & the dining/lodging facilities have been completely re-done in recent years. It's now a must play- & a place we hope to visit often in the future- *a really amazing value for the $- JP from Pinehurst

Loved this course and will definitely play again. Wasn't thrilled to get a rider fee ($25 I think) considering I was playing alone, after 3 pm, but whatever. The layout is nice, course was in great shape, a little soggy in places, but there was rain the day before. Greens were a little slow too.

One thing I didn't care for was the pin placement. At a resort course, most of us are first time players, which makes it tough already, the course has lots of slope, so blind uphill shots, we don't need pins 10 feet from the edge of the greens. But I enjoyed the round.

Very nice course, slow pace of play. this is a very well-maintained, challenging, beautiful, mountain course. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.. However,Overall I gave it. Four stars for two reasons:

1) Pace of Play. I’ve played the course twice in the last two weeks, Both rounds took five hours. This is because the course is challenging, the rough is plush, and we are not all A players.

2) Geofences need re- programmed. They are quite finicky. several times we were instructed to proceed to the path when we we’re on the path !!!

This is a very nice course. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.. The Geo fences are extremely stringent. Handicap players, my wife included, have a difficult time. Pace of play on the two times I’ve played it is on the order of five hours. I think part of it has to do with the rough which was plush, and the time people spend trying to find their ball ..

Great course and will play it again. Loved the greens and views. Most everyone friendly although did come across a gentlemen working on the green. I said hi to him a few times, he chose to ignore me. I guess he doesn’t value customers like most do. That is why the low service rating. Everyone else was very friendly. Thank you!

Played this course a year ago but wasn’t able to finish the round due to weather. Was looking for a good reason to make the trek back to Caruso. When a friend recently moved to town I decided that now was the time. He had played several local courses but said that Springdale was the top course he had played in the Asheville area. ( and he has played some nice ones), and I agree.

The upgraded amenities are beautiful and the staff is great. I won’t wIt another year to visit and play this course again.

Everything about golf outing was first class. I will certainly play again.

If your one that lets things get into your head on shots ahead, it will. Stay on the fairway, grass is deep. Really enjoyed, I will be back.

First time here and staff was wonderful helping me navigate the facility. Course was well maintained, even tee box was in great shape. It was nice to play greens that rolled true as well, will definitely return.
