Springdale at Cold Mountain

Everything was going great with our round of golf until about 430 our golf cart told us to have carts back by 545 or call the club house if we was going to be late I started call around 5:15 and nobody would answer the phone and it was going to voice mail to tell them we had 4 holes left when we got done with the 17th hole it was 5:43 we got to 5the 18th and the cart shut off so we gave it a few minutes and one cart started back an we got up there once our buddies cart started back they had to drive in reverse and the guy was rude that we turned the carts into we still had daylight so they need to update the golf cart time so we are not sure if we will back to play or not

Springdale is a hidden gem tucked in the mountains just west of Asheville. The course is wonderfully maintained; the layout is challenging as your wind your way up and around the mountains. There is a mountain stream that runs parallel to some fairways while crossing others. The staff may be friendliest around Asheville!

Played with a lovely older couple.

After a small frost delay we got to play and everything went great from there. Good pace of play with a limited number of players on the course. The course is in great shape even in late December. The only small issue we had is our golf cart got shut down a couple of times due to the GPS thinking we were off the cart path in certain restricted areas while in reality we had all 4 wheels of the cart on the paved cart path. For example, on hole #2, the cart locked down and said for us to "back out" of the restricted area when in fact we were on the path beside the green. It happened a couple other times as well. Just needs to be adjusted on their GPS mapping. The range is shut down for improvements right now, not sure for how long.

Some of the best views in NC!!! Such an amazing track - always in great shape. Staff is super friendly & accomodating- it's a great experience from the time you drive up to the beverage at the Rocky Face Tavern after the round! If I lived in the area- I'd join in a heartbeat- JP

Amazing golf course. The club house was amazing.

Fireplace was beautiful. Great to sit and have a drink on a chill afternoon once you finished playing. The course was extremely well taken care of. The greens were perfect. Can’t wait to play again.

The day was beautiful and the course was in great shape. Lost a few balls right off the fairway but mainly due to the leaves and erratic shots. The greens are recovering nicely and was 6 over on the front but only 2 on the back. Great course and with the leaves changing it made it even more spectacular along with great weather. Also had lunch at the great restaurant over the 18th hole

Beautiful course. Excellent layout. Perfect conditions.

The only drawback was that I paid for range balls and then they moved my tee time up and I didn’t get to use them. The pace was very slow. It took 5.5 hours to play.

Excellent greens and fairways. Excellent course. Will play again if in area.
