Nice friendly round.
Talamore was a fun round. Fair to all golfers and a nice change of pace after getting beat up at Pinehurst #8 in the morning. Great course but the re-do needs work. The sod work was awful… guessing superintend is struggling to grow grass in drought. Unfortunately you pay for a great course that still needs a bit of work
Put it on your list to play in Pinehurst
Love the course. People are friendly and great practice area.
Only thing I would improve is a couple of tee boxes seemed to have a slight crown. Nothing a plate compactor or green roller wouldnt fix. I know there was plenty of rain leading up to the round but I would like to see the greens a little faster. They roll pure though.
5 hours golf round for 18 holes
The pace of play was too slow. We had to wait on every shots. It took 5 hours to finish and the cost of the round not worth it. In my opinion, the course layout was nice but not worth for the money that I paid for.
Highly recommended
We played this course a few years ago and it is nothing like it is now. The renovation has transformed the course and the experience. Great layout, well maintained and lots of fun. Definitely will play again.
Nice course
This course was a fun design and in great condition. We had 2 issues. It was slow. Arrived at tee boxes and two groups were already there .no sign of a marshal.
It was over 90 degrees and there was no water on the course and no cart service. That is not acceptable. There were coolers all empty.
This is not safe.
Great course, terrible pace of play
Booked 7:50am as we had a flight out that day. Was told in the pro shop that we were the third group out. 7:40 didn't show up until 7:45 and then held us up all day. Made the turn in 2:20. Had to quit after 16 holes.
Great Course
It has been a long time since I played Talamore and for the life of me don’t know why I don’t play it more. Great layout, it was in really good shape for early March. Pace of play was slow but it was 70 defrees on March 1 so we expected it. Staff was absolutely awesome. Very underrated.
Enjoyed course
I have played out here a few times and have always enjoyed myself. We had 2 threesomes one of which we paid through golf now and they said it wasn’t paid even though I showed the reservations and credit card statement..Led to a lot of frustration. Still in the process of getting it figured out with my credit card.
Great Time!!
I don’t normally do reviews, but this was a great experience. Friendly check in, great starter, and a course with a lot of character. Highly recommend!!
Top shelf
Fine facility. Excellent course in surprisingly good shape coming off 30+ hours of soaking rain. They're adding to the bunker count....if you don't have a sand game, you'd better give these babies a wide berth.
Pretty Good for February
Had to get out of the ice in SW VA and drove south until it was warm enough to play a round. Pinehurst. I could have done worse. Got the hot deal on the site with a mid-morning time. Sunny, upper 50s, little breeze at times was perfect if you've been in a freezer for the last month. For the time of year, the course was in really good shape with actual grass in the fairways and smooth greens--an improvement from yesterday's round on bare fairways (but awesome greens). I was paired with 2 friendly locals (transplants) and had a great day!
Top notch course
Mid South is a top notch course designed by Arnold Palmer. The greens were immaculate and rolled true. Course was in unbelievable shape especially after just having all the snow. The staff was friendly and helpful.
