Talamore Golf Resort

Good course, nice layout. Greens are very challenging. Fun atmosphere in the bar/clubhouse.

Decided to meet up in between Charlotte and Myrtle Beach for some golf. Talamore did not disappoint

Despite the time of year, the greens were in excellent shape. The fairways were meticulously maintained and the bunkers for this time of the year as well. Great challenge of golf but are enjoyable in every aspect regardless of the skill level of the player.

Play here at least once a year and I am never disappointed. One of the best in the area by far. If you haven't played here, it is a must. Course is always in great condition, and the greens will challenge even the best putter. Thank you Talamore staff for another great day, I will definitely be back

Beautiful course but tough. The greens were pro speed with lots of contours. Only drawback the course was loud. Maintenance guys did shut down equipment when putting or approaching the greens.

Was playing as a solo and was able to be paired up with a great random thanks to the starter. The course was in absolutely amazing shape, the putting green looked like it was turf and not natural grass, and the course was top tier. It was refreshing to have the starter chat with us about the 4-some behind us playing too slow, and the earful he gave them about not keeping up with a 2-some in front of them haha. Only downside the course could control was the halfway house being close, nbd, still was able to go inside to the bar and grab an drink and snack. Can’t wait to be back!

We had the first tee time of the day. The front nine went quick. But unfortunately they send people off both sides. So when we finished the front nine we had to wait about a half hour before it was our turn to tee off. The back nine was brutal. 8-12 people waiting on every tee box. I think it was close to a 3 hr back nine. The course was fun and in good condition. Nothing special. The llama pen is a cool touch. The staff was incredibly rude... Especially the starter who was an extremely grumpy old man who didn't want to be there. Also the guy who came out mid round and tried to insinuate that because their water cooler was turned over on one hole and we were the first group that we turned it over. Between the rude people and slow play and insane amount of golfers on the course, I honestly couldn't wait to get out of there

My wife and I play this course every time we visit Pinehurst which is twice each year. I highly recommend Talamore.

We have a group of 12 golfers that come to Pinehurst every October and play golf for 6 days. Talamore is always in great shape and pace of play is never an issue which is important for our group. Highly recommend!

Talamore is one of the best courses in the Pinehurst area. Great staff, amenities and a fabulous course.

Fairways like most course had some burn in them from heat and rain

Best track I have ever played. Never seen greens ever roll that fast. I wanted to play another 18 but didn’t have enough day light. The guy working in the pro shop was super cool and didn’t hesitate to give advice and answer questions. I will definitely be back to visit!

you must avoid all of the front bunkers, though the rest are manageable

We were told to park in the apartment parking lot across the road. The bag drop looked like it was an international flight baggage claim area and continued downhill from there, with a 20 minute wait just to get carts. For a course that markets itself as a premium experience, you’d expect better organization at check-in.

The pace of play was painfully slow the entire day. We spent more time waiting on every tee box than actually golfing, and there was no marshal to be found to help move things along. It felt like the staff had completely checked out when it came to managing the course.

To make matters worse, it was an extremely hot day (114 heat index) the kind where you really depend on beverage service. Yet the cart girl only came around when we specifically called, which meant long stretches with no water (since the coolers on the course were bone dry) or drinks in sight. That’s unacceptable.

Between the disorganization, slow play, and lackluster service, it’s hard to recommend Talamore. There are plenty of other courses in the area that treat players better and know how to run things efficiently. We won’t be rushing back.

5 stars all around. Great conditions and great layout. Friendly staff.
