About The Waynesville Inn Golf Resort & Spa
The Waynesville Inn Golf Resort & Spa is a historic, western North Carolina property dating back to 1926. It features 111 guest rooms and suites as well as the Balsams Spa. Amenities include casual and fine dining, meeting space and an outdoor pool open seasonally. After a two-year closure, Waynesville Inn & Golf Club reopened in 2023 after a comprehensive renovation by architect Bobby Weed that honored the routing of Donald Ross’ original nine holes while updating the rest of the property to form a challenging, scenic and brand-new 6,500-yard par-71 routing open to members and overnight resort guests. Outdoor mountain adventures, Maggie Valley and the historic town of Waynesville are located nearby.Facts

This is a $30.00 course at best
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course is definitely a resort course...that is rough around the edges. Played on a Sunday and that may have had something to do with it. Greens were mowed but fairways and rough were neglected. Good resort just needs toughing up.
Great winter course
One of my favorite area courses. Played with a beginning golfer after a lot of rain. usually plays much quicker. Greens and fairways were in good shape but some of the tee boxes were soaked; almost standing in water but considering the amount of rain they received, not bad.
Great Shape!!
Played this course through GolfNow the first week in December for under 20 bucks. Thought initially that the course must be getting aerated or something, wrong!! The course looked as good as it did through the Spring and Summer. Great value isn't saying enough. Course always has some good deal going on.
Beautiful views for this NC course
This course gives golfers beautiful views throughout your round. Some more "on-course" information, would speed up play & enhance the golfing experience. Some par 3 holes had no yardage plate at the tee. Trying to guess yardage will frustrate any golfer. If there is a stream or pond, that is reachable from the tee-a yardage plate w/info will really help. Overall, a decent value. Very small tees on some holes, too.
Highly recommended.
Have played WCC many times over the years as a visitor from FL. Always fun. Always in great shape. Highly recommended.
Course in very good condition with beautiful mountains surrounding it.
We really enjoyed our round and especially the scenery. The staff was very nice and friendly. We will play there again and recommend it.
Short But Scenic In Faill
Stayed at the Inn this week and played the Dogwood and Blue Ridge nines. It was a realtively short course in average condition. The fall colors on the foliage made the course very scenic. Good pace of play. A few holes have some nice elevation changes. Staff very friendly and helpful. No bag boys or girls to load and unload clubs was disappointing.
Very nice
Will play again, excellent golf course, club house is great and the food is great.
At $22 each
At $22, this is probably the best value for the money in the area. The course is in good shape except for the tee-boxes and the rough was certainly "rough".
Built in 1926, short course, interesting to play once
This course was built in 1926 (original 18) and 9 more holes were added. We played all 27 holes with the 18 original first. Since its an old course its very short but definately worth playing once. This is not a course I would return often but the condition is good to very good.
Fun to play an old course once, but there are way better courses in the area.
Friendly stuff, nice area, close to Waynesville Downtown.
We had absolutely nobody in front of us and played 18 holes in just over 2 hours and then added the other 9 :-)
They are a little longer but more or less the same style. Great place to stay and play for a night or two.
decent layout. nice fairways.
waynesville resort is really cool. great staff, bar, and layout. the course is good for resort golf. it used to be an old country club. conditions were really good. fairways perfect. greens were just fine.
Overall not bad
A little late in the year, but...
Tee conditions are not what they should be.
Fairways a little spotty.
Greens are pretty good.
