The WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville started as a bingo hall on the Texas-Oklahoma border in 1991 but has grown into the largest casino resort in the world. Nowhere else features a larger collection of electronic games – more than 8,100, plus 100 table games, a 55-table poker room, bingo and more. The 1,399-room hotel complex houses 19 restaurants and 12 bars, a spa and shopping. The 36-hole WinStar Golf Club includes a state-of-the-art golf academy. Both the Scissortail and Redbud courses were expanded to 18 holes in 2017 by D.A. Weibring, a five-time winner on the PGA Tour. The 3,500 Global Event Center regularly showcases big events.Facts

Good but not to challenging!
Course in great shape but each hole very similar… could be more challenging … still enjoyable.
Greens are Extremly hard
Course is gorgeous. We had 2 very slow groups in front of us, playing scrambles. Pace of Play suffered because of it.
The only issue we're the greens. They were in impeccable c
ondition, but Hard is an understatement. When a 60 degree wedge hit high in the air, hits 2 foot from pin and rolls up hill 30 yeards across and over green, it's hard to score. We had 2 green that "bit". THEY WERE JUST FLAT OUT Hard.
Worth the drive from the metroplex
With DFW courses being packed, and/or too expensive to be of value, we took a chance on an hour drive to OK. You're greeted AT YOUR CAR with a nice man and a cart. You load up, hit the trailer (clubhouse in repair) and head to the range, where there's no charge. A cooler with free water bottles is there at the range, and in other places on the course. Hit the course, and you find the fairways are in great shape. The course actually has rough (unlike some metroplex courses where it's just dirt), and the rough is punishing. Outside of the main rough is the kind of grass that Rory doesn't like. Stay in the fairway and you're in good shape. Greens aren't TPC Las Colinas, but they're good. We played on a Sunday, and the pace was excellent. We will continue to visit Winstar Golf for sure.
Good course
Tough little course, but fun. Fairways could of been smoother.
Nice greens
I'm sure it's because they have alot of money, but this course is always in good condition, It has both easy and challenging holes it's a great place to play.
The golf course is in perfect condition..The staffs were very friendly and very helpful.
Well worth the wait
Very nice course, first time playing the side. Good layout, decent pace of play. Will play again
Great condition
Course is in excellent condition. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Will play again.
Short Grass Play is a Must!
If you think you are a great driver of the golf ball, this would be your perfect test! Angles, contour in greens plus other parts of your game will be tested for sure. First cut, can be flier time, the primary rough, some of the most penal I have played. I love tree lines courses and the two tracks at Winstar was a great day with friends and a challenge that we will take on again. Soon!
Excellent course and friendly staff! Will definitely be back.
Definitely Worth the Drive from DFW Area
Took 70 mins to get course, but it was in excellent condition and the greens were nice. They put 2 waters and some ice in your cooler on the cart and they have GPS on the carts. They are currently working out of trailer home building for proshop while building another one. You can get food & drinks outside and the staff is very helpful. This was my 3rd time playing here and the course is worth driving to OK to play. It has great layout, but you need to keep the ball in fairway.
Amazing
If I paid double this course would still be an excellent value. Everything was perfect. New carts, new range balls, course conditions were outstanding, layout was fun.
