dramatic fall
The fall from a once great course have definitely taken place . would be suprised if major changes are about to take place
Great Course
I've played all 3 courses, Great layout, Great view.
I'm a bit disappointed with how the courses look. The
27 holes have gone downhill in the last year. But, still I'd
play there.
A shadow of it's former self
Where to start...I played this cougars ago and it was always in great shape...not any more.
The fairways are terrible, long in places and bald in places.
The bunkers are unraked and compacted.
The greens are bumpy and all different speeds.
The tee boxes are un even an long in places and bald in other places.
I payed $31 with a cart on golf now, which was a good deal but if I had payed full price I would have been asking for s refund
Greatly Improved
Course had had a complete turnaround since visit in early July. Looking more like its old self.
Excellent price
Price for my buddy and I was excellent at $30 apiece—hardly no one on course- played 18 in 3 1/2 hours— maintenance was lacking compared to past trips here— overwatering and greens not as smooth and taken care of- restaurant /bar closed at noon only to open at 4
Great time great course
The restaurant is still being remodeled. I like sitting and having a drink after a round of golf. Only problem.
Fun value course
Fun course for the price. Greens were shaggy, bug I’d play there again.
Majestic
Course is one of the ones not by a highway, train, or airport so all you hear are birds and golfers. Friendly staff and beautiful course layout. I enjoy these courses.
Not the course of yesteryear!
It had been a few years (pre-pandemic), and it was so sad to see the course in the condition it is in, now. It seems they are working with a skeleton crew, and the course is showing. Holes were not freshly cut, and it has seen better days. It was also sad to see that the restaurant is now closed - not a draw for me anymore. That makes me sad!!
Great place to golf
Great area for golfing with forest setting. The course has no driving range so they use a hitting net to warm up. Their net needs to be fixed because balls hit into this can go thru the net and most are lost. Their eating area was closed so ;the restroom is a porta potty.
Beautiful course
Challenging—variety of play—nice people—great layout.
Great day for golf
Course conditions were marginal. Very damp. Fairways looked like they had not been mowed in at least a couple of days. Greens were ok.
Mountain Gem
The Resort at Mount Hood courses are absolute jewels in the Portland area. The views are spectacular with tree covered mountains and pristine creeks running through.
The farther back you play the more beautiful the landscapes, you will not forget this course as it is one of the best mountain courses anywhere.
The elevated Tee box on Pine Cone is a thrill to hit.
Worth an annual trek to the mountain
On a hotdeal this works but at regular rates.... not so much. Has to be tough conditions to keep a course in top shape with the year round weather so you can't expect a perfectly maintained course.... and it isn't. Greens are slow and bumpy. Traps are below average. Aprons are a mess and the fairways are extremely bumpy but it is a beautiful place to spend the day.
My husband had worked there for over 15 years. He was a assistant supervisor for green maintenance. He has a degree from Penn State, as well as holding a pesticide license for the course. He finally left after being treated badly by the resort, and the guy in charge HAS NO EXPERIENCE AT ALL. He warned them when he left and now it’s happening.
I’m sad to say it’s only going to get worse until they get someone who knows what they are doing.
Very sad
