Great round at a beautiful course but..
This is a great course and we got a great price on it. I booked with a cart but when we got there, we were told that it was walking. I forgot u til after the round that I had taken a picture of the deal. Golf now really needs to show if it is walking or riding. Everything other than this was great. The course is in the best condition I have seen it in.
Nice course but too busy
Nice course but they stacked the tee times too close together and people were waiting in front and behind us. We felt rushed the whole time.
My Favorite course in Lincoln City of Oregon Coast
This is a really fun course to play, I always stop by Lincoln City to play a round at Salishan GC when I travel to the coast.
The course layout is fun, there are many different style of holes challenging golfers' course strategy. Fairway and green condition are good. The Copper tee is not too long for women golfers. My only suggestion for the course management is to add signages for the restrooms on the course so it's easier to locate them.
Really fun course
I don't usually review things; but, this course is worthy!. The pace was great, holes fun yet somewhat challenging (not much water). The course hasn't seen the rain normally expected so the fairways were a little brown here and there. Greens were quite good.
Favorite course
This course is now my favorite. Always have a great time and get matched up with the best kind of people. Members and non members. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. It’s a can’t miss opportunity if you happen to be in town and have never been.
Lousy Course
My 6th time in a row, I was only allowed to play 9 holes when I had paid for 18 holes. I MUST be dumb to have come back that many times.
Yesterday, when I arrived at the first tee of the day (#10), there were 11 carts waiting (22 people) to tee off. "Apparently" golfers in the morning were not told to tee off on #10 and so there was a car crash of golfers coming off hole #9 and those people attempting to start on #10.
I was then directed to start on hole #1 and then come back and play the back 9 holes afterwards.....HaHa, the joke was on me. As I was finishing #9, I was then told they had closed the back 9 holes for the men's club so I would have to play the front 9 again. THIS WAS THE SIXTH TIME IN A ROW THEY HAD DONE THAT TO ME!
As I went BACK to #1 again, there were 4 carts (8 people) waiting to tee off on a hole with 3 groups already on the hole. I WAS DONE!!!
I went to the clubhouse and asked for my money back for the 6th time in a row. They refused to refund the money and said all the problems were because of Tom Graves, the director of golf.
3 absolutes:
NEVER play golf here.
The "Mens" (HaHa) club and skins game will only play the back 9 holes because it is easier/shorter and so everyone else is forced to leave after 9 holes or get bounced back and forth like a yoyo.
Decent course conditions - HORRIBLE management.
Salishan
Really helpful staff. Impressive. That said, tee boxes were scruffy. Some holes had silly layouts. (Wrap around, semi circular par 5 for instance). 1 true ocean view hole (thought there were more based on staff saying the back 9 is on the ocean). 3.5hrs total time was great.
Beach best golfing
Dry weather even some sun, pretty course, challenging, especially with the coastal breeze
Breath taking
Friendly staff and great rates. Beautiful course. It was a bit damp, but expected being the first day of Spring on the Oregon Coast. Highly recommend golfing at Salishan.
Nice Track
Little wet but to be expected in November. Play your carry, no roll
