Great Course in Beautiful Sunriver
Fabulous views, greens and layout!
Tough course
Love this lay out. 2 very different 9s . Visually appealing. Can be very tough driving . But there's no real rough. Keep it in play and greens will receptive. Speed of play is much better than its sister course.. The Measows
great track
I'm a local and have played this track a ton. Speed can be an issue midday. Play early and late if you're serious player. Most people are there for a resort experience. It's still a beautiful course. Wind plays.
a tough test worthy of the Top 100
i'll start out keeping this simple: PLAY THIS COURSE!
It is worth the money, and it's awesome. It is very tough though! You're gonna want to bring either A) your best game off the tee or B) lots of extra balls. There are forced carries on several holes, tight driving lines, and rough/fescue that will bring you to tears.
The layout is fantastic though! Lots of variety and opportunities to hit all kinds of different shots both off the tee and on approach.
The 5th hole is one of the toughest I can remember playing anywhere, especially given the stiff headwind we were facing. The marshall even wished us luck as we were teeing off.
You are going to work hard during this round, but it's worth it. The views are amazing and the conditions are pristine. Just try to remember to have fun and soak in the scenery while you're searching for another ball in the rough!
solid track. fun and challenging.
played this course as the morning round of a 36 hole day. the biggest thing that hurt my impression of this course was the anticipation of playing crosswater in the afternoon. i know that's not really fair, but it was unavoidable.
however, this course is still a great course! taken on its own it has everything you'd want. cool holes and a variety of challenges. water hazards are used wisely to present challenges and not just there for decoration. and one of my favorite features of any course is forcing some variety off the tee. you definitely don't just have to hit driver off every tee here, and the par 3s also have some good variation to keep them interesting.
conditions were very good, but not pristine (crosswater was in noticeably better condition). certainly better than any course i see at home in the Texas summer!
overall, this course is a great choice, especially if you don't want to spend the extra money on crosswater.
Fun course
The course is always in great shape and the new sand is well done. Can get a bit windy in the afternoon but the views are great.
Great course
I really enjoy playing at the Woodlands. It is challenging and beautiful. The course is always in good condition.
Woodl;ands; Sunriver, OR
More challenging than Meadows. Elevation changes and narrow fairways.
Meadows; Sunriver, Oregon
Good resort course at a reasonable price. Not overly demanding.
Bunkers of my fescue dream
Ive played this course a few times now. They seem to contunue investing money in the grounds. Recently they rebuilt the bunkers which was my only negative feedback from about the course in the past. The bunkers are really cool looking now ith fesue surrounding them. I would play this course over woodlands any day of the week. Great clubhouse and food available.
Great track!
This is a great track! I have played this course and it's not to be missed. The views are awesome and it is always in great shape.
I love this course!
The Meadows golf course is my favorite in all of Central Oregon. It has a great design, always in perfect shape and the greens are some of the best. Thank you to all of the staff...from the top service at the pro shop counter all of the way to the maintenance staff...you guys are the best. Without a doubt, the Meadows deserves a very high rating. I love this course!
Wonderful improvements ....
Last spring the sand traps were all renovated with new sand and tall grass surrounding the bunkers. Added to the renovation of the course itself several years go, and the awesome maintenance crew, this course has turned into a real gem.
The golf school headed by Kevin Erdman and his wife is also awesome. $300 a day including lunch and 9 holes of Kevin taking you out on the course is a bargain, and the instruction is excellent.
Sunny afternoon
Love Woodlands. Course is in great shape this summer. Great layout for my 50-something swing.
Meadows is great
Enjoyed my Sunday afternoon at Meadows. New sand is really great.
Must play the Woodlands
Fairways are much tighter than other Sunriver courses. Challenging for a resort course.
A beautiful course, with many challenges..
Some of the bunkers have been removed, or changed designed.
A good test for anyone
great place to play golf!
I love playing at the Meadows course it is so much fun and the staff there is really cool and friendly.
Great Time
After spending two weeks in Hawaii golfing it was good to come home. Our previous golf outting in Hawaii was not good especially for the money we paid. This course here was wonderful!
Woodlands,sunriver
Great golf course, one of my favorites. They even have discounts for Deschutes county residents.
