Great Course
The course was in great shape, the greens were firm and fast even though it rained the night before.
Chestnut Ridge
Exceptional deal thru GolfNow, Very well maintained and the greens are in excellent shape.
Scenic
A well kept scenic golf course. Only negative was stones in the sand traps
Chestnut Ridge
Wonderful golf course with beautiful view. Excellent staff. I would recommend to go & play!
Excellent course
excellent course. nice scenery, friendly staff. the course is in great condition, no issues with anything. great value when using golf now.
Nicest course around.
By far my favorite course to play. The layout of the front nine is second to none! $60 is a little expensive but if I'm going to pay that this is the course.
Great Day
Hard to find a course anywhere of this quality for the Golf Now price. If you have never played it, I highly recommend it.
Easy to get to from Pittsburgh and great pace of play.
Tom's Run was in good condition and we completed 18 holes in 3.5 hours on a Friday morning. We played the white tees but would play the blue tees next time as we didn't see the supposed 500 yard difference. The front nine is a bit tighter than the back nine but overall a very playable course from 6200 to 6700 yards. I would come back to play again.
Not designed to be walked...
The course isn't bad, kind of a strange spread out layout. Would not recommend walking this one, just not designed for it. The fairways and greens are in decent shape, but rough and cart paths could use some work. Overall the appearance has gone slightly downhill the last few years.
Chestnut Ridge
Always one of my favorite layouts. The team there is top-notch and are always going to make you feel welcome. The greens are just now repairing after a recent aeration treatment, but still pretty good.
Bring a water bottle!
I had a terrible experience here... The vending machines on the course didn't work, and there were no water coolers after the first few holes. I was thinking I'd get something at the turn. Nope! The golf course doesn't come back to the clubhouse at 10. Instead, they have a snack stand at hole 12. Which was closed. No beverage cart either. 3 hours without water left me grumpy. Staff didn't care. I won't be back.
Beautiful course ....lots of Sand!
Great view of the Mountains...the track is tight on some holes...force carries on a few keep you on your game. Greens run true to the line. The food at the Clubhouse was excellent they have everything from Grilled Tuna to burgers. Service was timely to get us back out for the back nine. All in all it was a great day we played Tom's Run. We will be back to play Chestnut Ridge!
Overpriced, but pretty well maintained
Tom's Run golf course is nicer than the interior course chesnut Ridge, but it is still priced a little too high.
very playable . good staff, great value.
Golf Now worked perfectly. We had a great day. Good course, great value. Very happy with Golf Now.
Great course, just right
The greens were in amazing condition, they were pretty fast. Numerous water fountains and drink carts were very convenient. Overall the course was great, but not too nice that it was uncomfortable.
Rangerless
Took 6 hours to play 18 holes. No ranger. They put groups playing a scramble ahead of us.
Barely finished before dark. Teed off at 3 and didn't finish until 8:30, barely beating nightfall.
Nice course
Good course for money on Golf Now, regular rate slightly high.
Some water in bunkers, but we had too much rain lately
Good Value. Course in very good shape
Greens, fairways, and sand all very nicely groomed and in good shape.
Sandwich and a beer after were also good.
Will play again.
The course isn't worth the trip!
Chesnut Ridge is a short course that lacks the character of many other courses in the area so I wouldn't suggest anyone make a special trip to play it unless you live close, which we don't. It is maintained in some places but is rough in many areas too. We got a twlight rate of $37 because we played after 3pm. I think that is even too expensive and would hate to think what they charge before 3pm. Overall, I think that there are much better courses for the money in the area, including Toms Run next door.
great "fancy" course
second time playing this course. price and distance prevents it from becoming my go to place. great staff and course conditions. will be back for sure.
