Great Condition
Hats off to the Greenskeeper, the course is in excellent condition.
Always enjoy
Course is in good condition. Always a challenge with back to back part 5's on the front and long part 3's
Conley
Course is in good shape. Very nice staff. Hot deal used on this one and it was well worth it. Not crowded on a Wednesday. I would play again for sure.
Slow greens
The course layout was good. Couple of very nice holes. Greens were very slow and the grass on the greens was long
Solid Course
Conley's is a straight forward test that is well designed for skill level of golfer. Course was in overall good condition given the wet summer. Greens a little slow but good condition. Only a few knocks you should be aware of before teeing it up. There are several holes with extreme doglegs that you have to play to spots. Hole 10 should be blown up and start over. Hole 18 is a beautiful finish as a Par 3 but there is zero margin for error. Overall this course should be on your rotation of courses in northern suburbs.
This course was overrated by media.
The pace of play was ridiculously slow. It appeared to be overbooked. You might add an hour to your overall round. I never got a chance to hit my stride or get into any kind of rhythm. It seemed like we waited five minute on every stroke of play. If you want to play the course I would recommend a weekday.
Great first experience
First time playing. Staff was great, good course layout and well maintained.
Pleasant Day - Played in 3 1/2 hours
We arrived before our 11:58 am start time and got off immediately. Course was in very good shape. Unfortunately, we decided to play the regular, white tees, not the Senior tees (Both golfers were 69 & 70!) Still both of us shot in the 80's. We had a beverage at the turn. Very nice bar/restaurant and staff. We let one twosome play through and were still not held up!
This was an enjoyable day, perfect weather and next time I play this course it will be from the Senior Tees. Look to shoot in the 70s!!!
Great value
Great layout and conditions
Greens needed cut kinda furry
Overpriced
This was my first time playing this course and I'd heard good reviews from friends. I know in the past that the Conley Resort was held in high regard but this place is suffering from a lack of re-investment into the property. The course was in below average/average condition. The fairways were not cut consistently, the traps were in poor condition but the greens were okay. There was no ranger on the course and it was backed up considerably with an average wait time of 15 minutes per hole. It didn't seem to be overly crowded but there was no course management to get the foursomes moving on a good pace. The golf carts are certainly older with mold on the seats and we weren't certain it would make the entire course. We would put the brake on and the engine would still run. We had to press the gas then brake again to turn it off. A bit of a safety issue. We left after nine holes due to the back up and did not play the back nine. I won't return here as $50 is high for a course that can't match against some of the courses in the area with much better course conditions and have invested in the course to make it a good experience.
