Linden Hall
About Linden Hall
Linden Hall touts itself as "one of Pennsylvania's best secrets". This 785-acre estate is home to a historic 74-room lodge and a 6,405-yard golf course that winds up and down the region's rolling hills. The 8,720-square-foot Linden Hall mansion contains 35 rooms, 27 fireplaces, 13 baths, an indoor bowling alley and walk-in clothes dryer. An Aeolian pipe organ, one of three in the world, could be heard throughout the first and third floors when played. Today, the mansion, dating to 1913, is used by the United Steel Workers of America. The Club Pub restaurant overlooking the 18th fairway, a heated outdoor pool and hiking/biking trails are available.Facts

Well maintained and good value
I really enjoyed this course. The fairways and greens were both very well maintained, The cart paths were generally smooth and the carts were nice. The course layout itself is not overly exciting, but the landscape is very beautiful and there are some really gorgeous views.
With the exception of a couple of holes, the course is fairly wide open, but there is enough trouble to keep things interesting, and a couple of doglegs require getting distances about right. I managed to stay out of the sand, but several of the greens are bunkered, and the sand in the traps looked like it should, which is pretty rare for this area. The greens are very fast compared to the courses I usually play (although the greens on the courses I usually play are fairly slow). The rough was fair and well-kept as well: that is not the case for many courses around here.
At the standard rates, this course is much nicer than a course closer to me that is significantly more expensive. For what I paid today, I thought the course was a steal. I wish I lived just a bit closer to it!
Course in best condition in years
The greens were quick, true and smooth.
Fairways and Rough impressive
Excellent course
Loved the layout, no slow downs or rushes, challenging and reachable greens for birdies.
I will be back
Really good condition
I play here more than several times a year. This is my first time this year and I usually book through Golf Now. After heavy rains the night before I expected the course to be very wet but it was not. Everything was cut, rolled and raked as it should have been.
Beautiful
This course is in such great condition from the the tee boxes to the fairways to the greens. They were all great
Great course ruined by pointless rules
My husband and I took time off work only to be divided by a plastic divider! ALL carts had them! These plastic dividers ruined enjoying the scenery and made it difficult to see your ball for the rider on the other side from the fairway. No way to enjoy being close to your partner. They should at least have some carts without a divider.. And, pace of play was needlessly slow due to cart path only rule even though there hasn’t been rain for days. Also, the ladies tees were very rough.

Corse in Great Shape Greens Fantastic staff Great the only down fall is they made it Cart Path only didn’t say anything till we Teed Off don’t know if Greens keeper or superintendent rode around the course but at the worst in should’ve been 90’s I work at a country club and know what to do on a course at least they should’ve said off the paths by the back nine
Pleasantly surprised.
Started out with super clean electric carts. Tee boxes and fairways were great. Greens were fast and true. The rough was mown pretty short so that helps pace which was just under 3 1/2 hours. Beautiful day, great views at a quiet well kept course. Good job steel workers union and all those involved. I'll look forward to going back to Linden Hall.

Linden Hall
The course is in great shape! perfect tees and greens that hold and putt true and fast
Excellent conditions, beautiful scenery
This course is a tremendous hidden gem in the Laurel Highlands. Great condition, friendly staff, and very reasonable rates. Because of covid the amenities were pretty much closed during the week,, but a regular told me the food and service, currently limited to weekends, is excellent. Nice layout with great mountain views. Would recommend highly!
Perfect Day
I was surprised how few people were playing on Labor Day. We never had to wait, and there was no one pushing us from behind. I could always retry the missed putt without worrying about someone waiting in the fairway to hit. The course is somewhat long, but very forgiving, so the stress level is minimal. All in all, this is a great place to play and enjoy with friends.
