Linden Hall

About Linden Hall
Linden Hall touts itself as "one of Pennsylvania's best secrets". This 785-acre estate is home to a historic 74-room lodge and a 6,405-yard golf course that winds up and down the region's rolling hills. The 8,720-square-foot Linden Hall mansion contains 35 rooms, 27 fireplaces, 13 baths, an indoor bowling alley and walk-in clothes dryer. An Aeolian pipe organ, one of three in the world, could be heard throughout the first and third floors when played. Today, the mansion, dating to 1913, is used by the United Steel Workers of America. The Club Pub restaurant overlooking the 18th fairway, a heated outdoor pool and hiking/biking trails are available.Facts

Great course
The golf course was in great condition. Started early in the morning so the pace of play was very good. Played a round by myself with a threesome in front of me and still finished 18 holes in 2 hours and 45 minutes. What a great day. Highly recommend playing this course.
Nice track
Greens and fairways in good condition. Did not test the sand, but looked well managed. Tee boxes are a bit uneven.
Early morning golf
The golf course is in beautiful condition. Pace of play was extremely good. It took 3 hours and 15 minutes to play 18 holes. Staff is very friendly and I would highly recommend playing this course.
Spectacular Course
Course is in spectacular shape. Minimal amenities- no pro shop items or food available, but the course makes up for it by being well kept.
Amazing
The course and its history are quite impressive. The greens are well groomed and tricky, the layout is perfect, the length is good and the tee boxes were spongy. Very nice indeed. If you get a chance to go and for some reason don’t like the course, the view of the mansion is only surpassed by the views of the laurel mountains. Thank you to all staff and grounds keepers.
Hidden Gem in South Western PA
Course is in excellent condition. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all in great shape. It had rained quite a bit the weekend of the US Open in Oakmont and at Linden Hall yet we were able to take carts on the course with the exception of 4 holes. Staff is friendly and outside services manager, Dave receives a thumbs up.
Why Cart Path Only? Call before booking tee times
Overall, the course is typically good. However, there was rain four days prior and they still had as cart path only. Played day prior at other course that had some restrictions but lifted them all by 1pm. The course wasn't wet everywhere to add this restriction.
We had an older golfer with us with mobility issues, so it greatly impacted pace of play to the point it made the round very unenjoyable.
Should have called prior - but didn't even consider since the course is typically very dry
Hidden gem
We have played Linden Hall 3-4 times. Always in great shape and the staff is friendly. The course is picturesque.
