Nice, had fun
Clean, tees and greens watered and keep nice, Greens are fast and hard to read, still lots of ball marks, (players need to start fixing). Course moved along smooth untill #13 then slowed way down. Had a fun day of golf.
Well taken care of
Tee boxes and greens were in terrific shape. Challenging pin placement made for a great round of golf.
couldn't ask for better putting surfaces
Couple of spots on fairways a little rough, but given the change of seasons course was in fantastic shape, putting surfaces nice true roll to them very receptive to approach shots
A nice relaxing round
This course was offered a nice round of rolling hills with averagely maintained fairways but very well kept greens.. The hills made for a lot of blind tee and approach shots which added to the challenge..
Green in good shape, good day on links.
Love course and will be back in fall play course again
Excellent Course
With the exception of a couple of fairways, this course was in pristine condition. The greens rolled true but rather small in size for some of them. Nice sand conditions. The course is well marked, even giving distance to reach a creek off the tee. I found the course to play fair even though I struggled a bit due to less then average play.
A large group of players were about to tee off on the front ahead of me. The starter allowed me to tee off the back which allowed me to finish in a quick 2.5 hours even though I needed to pass a few groups.
The 40 minute drive was worth the trip.
With some work this course can be nice!
This course as well as most in the area show signs that weather has played a significant part of poor fairways and greens. Still, for the price not a bad day on this course. Maintenance was being performed while we golfed. Friendly staff and good food in the restaurant. Will be back.
the course was good and the greens were great. the staff was the worst I have ever experienced and I will not patronize this course again.
fariways were well maintained
greens were the most challenging I have played this year
the clubhouse attendant was the rudest and most unaccommodating. I cannot overstate the affect that the attendant had on mine and my two colleagues round of golf.
This course is a very fair course
What I liked most about this course is the greens are very true to the roll maybe a little slow but true. The fairways where well maintained and the rough was rough although those little white clover weeds made it hard to fine your ball . In all I liked the course and will definitely play there again.
better sand than before
Second time paying this course this year. Very well maintained but very challenging if you get off the fairway. In a word: trees. There was a problem early this year with the sand in the traps being hard as a rock or non existent, but not this time. The traps, as well as the course, were in excellent condition. Take a trip to Millersburg and play this course. It'll be well worth it.
This course is beautiful
This course is very scenic and always well maintained.
A bit of a drive from my home, but well worth it.
Great for the price
Played this course in mid-June 2013. Found a noon tee time on GolfNow for $12 -- less than $15 after fees. For that price, this course is a steal. Not the most challenging layout, but well-maintained. Would gladly have paid about $25 to play. Definitely some tough pin placements.
Great Day on a very nice course
First of all it was a terrific day for golf. The sun was shining and the course was in very nice condition. There were very few people on the course and the pro shop had our Golf Now reservation and was all ready for us. I played with my brother and when we went into the proshop...the guy working there lry my brother demo a new taylormade driver. Everyone there was very friendly and we had a great time.
Great Price, Great Course
We love playing here was a great time, great bar, and friendly staff.
Nice Open Course
Great amateur course, Open and well kept fairways. Greens could use a little work, but it is only April.
Tee boxes were recently redone and leveled.
Lykens has a new club shop and the fairways are always nice. Greens are difficult depending what time of year you play here.
