Mount Airy Casino Resort

Beautiful course. Very long and I would give it about an 8.5 or 9 for challenging. Greens had been aerated but we’re pretty well rolled and sanded. They were a little slow but consistent. The first hole is an uphill bear with blind second and an approach over water. I am a 23 handicapped duffer but I shot a 106. Traps were well-maintained but very easy to roll into. Pace of play was fine and the starter was organized and courteous. We played the gold tees which provided significant advantage on several holes but very little on the long par fives. I would play it again.

Signs everywhere about pace of play. No one enforcing. Took nearly 3 hours for front 9. Waited on every shot.

You don't have to gamble on Golf at Mt Airy. It's a sure thing. A beautiful course through the Poconos mountains demands precise second shots. The greens are HUGE and if you're on the wrong side of the contours, watch out! This is a resort course that has lots of space for wayward drives, through if you get to far off line, there are drop-offs on the endges of the fairways that will come into play. The Staff here is super friendly - Tony the starter was very accommodating. The only Ding on Mt Airy is that there isn't a practice facility. I came early to warm up and hit a few balls before my tee time and was disappointed. With all the land around the resort, they need to consider building one.

Very challenging. A lot of blind shots. Women do not get any major yardage advantage. Course in great shape

If you enjoy a challenging shot making type of golf course Mt. Airy is for you! Each hole is unique bordering on gimmicky. You need to think on almost each and every hole the best way to navigate your way through the round. Different!!!
