Opening day

Happened to be in area for opening day and snagged a $25 deal for 18 holes and cart. Due to bad winter it was cart path only but all things considered in respect to recent weather that was fine. Course was in decent condition. Greens were still "waking up" from winter but were rolling fine. If you are playing this course for first time check out their videos online for overviews of holes as lots of them are blind tee shots and lots of changes of elevation. Also, if you're like me, leave the pricey balls at home. Ive made my fair amount of deposits into the woods and water features on the course.

Great views

A+++ late October round of golf. Having just played Bethpage Black and Architects courses in the past week chose this course as a way to wind down the year. Challenging but fun and could not have chosen s better spot. Course was in awesome shape for late October. Need to hit the ball straight but if you drive straight you are rewarded with large greens from a distance that are able to attack from. Hole 13 is an awesome par 5. Excellent staff. Capped the day off with a nice win in the casino.

Well worth a visit

If you’re playing golf in the poconos area and are looking for a good course I would recommend a round here. It’s a good layout and it’s in excellent condition. Greens are immaculate tho a little firm. The ball takes a big first hop. Good challenging course from the blues. In the top tier around the poconos. Just be careful with the first hole it’s the worst feature on the course. Lay back to 150yrds or you’ll go into a blind pond.

Nice resort course

We played this course while vacationing in the Pocono Mountains. This course is part of the Mt Airy Casino complex.

Course condiction was very good. Several evaluations changes made the course interesting and challenging. Because it was a resort course pace of play was very slow.

First hole is a long par five uphill to a hidden green protected by a lake on the left. Tuff hole to start on.

Enjoyed playing the course and would definitely play again while in the area.

Mt Airy golf

Golf course in nice condition, elevation changes, bunkers were bad since end of season, but greens were nice.

Pace of play could be better, but people let me play through.

25 mph winds ... Brutal

The course is hilly and tough without the wind so ... when it's howling at 20 - 25 mph made for a tough but still very enjoyable day.

Great time! Awesome Staff!

My friends and I planned a weekend golf trip to the Poconos to get away from the grind. Our current handicaps range from scrapper to scratch. We first played Jack Frost National in the morning. Lucky for us balls were on sale at Dicks the previous day and the copperheads were hibernating. In all honesty the course conditions were enjoyable but not worth the duckets. Our next course on the slate was Mount Airy. Great times!!! We arrived to a friendly chatty pro staff. What a rad group of people. The course was in beautiful condition especially the green complexes(9/10). All of our unskilled golfers were able to navigate without unloading a ridiculously number of balls. For the price this course was a steal. We all wished we had played the course twice rather than playing Jack Frost. In the future any time we are back up in the Poconos we are for sure hitting up Mount Airy again. Big ups to the staff again!!

I love Mt. Airy, I think the course is challenging but fun. It is not a boring course because it is hilly. Love to play here.

2nd time's the charm

Second time playing Mt Airy. Prior experience helps playing this course. As noted in other posts the traps are in desperate need of reconditioning. Otherwise the course is in super nice shape. I spent way too much time fixing other people's ball marks. Other than that, a fun day at the course.

Very fun challenging course

I played Mount Airy for the first time over the weekend. Though I only played nine holes (back nine) I found the course to be very fun, fair and challenging. The starter, who was very friendly and helpful said the front was better than the back so I'm looking forward to going back and playing it in whole although the bunkers need a lot work which was the only negative of the course on conditions. I do recommend playing the white tees because it's long and has many forced carries which makes the yardage not indicative of what the scorecard reads. I fully recommend this course to players of all skill however being a resort course, the round could be slow.

Very disappointed

I played this course back in the early 1980's, it's a far cry from what I played Monday, July 31, 2017. Condition was just average, no sand in bunkers, but found a lot of pebbles , sand was course and very little of it, the edges all over grown with weeds and grass. It's a far cry from what it used to be. The grass around the greens rough and unkept, it's nothing more that a run down muni-style course anymore. I guess the the money is invested in the casino. I won't play it again.

Definitely a Mountain Course!

Lots of elevation changes, but surprisingly few severe uphill shots. Overall, the course was in good shape. It had gotten 2" of rain the day before, so it was cart path only, and it was quite soggy in some of the low spots; but other than a couple of locations, remained quite playable. The biggest challenge is the downhill shots. It is very difficult to determine how far to club down and I overshot on several holes a a result. There are also several blind shots that can lead to trouble if you don't know what's in the landing area (starting on the first hole, an uphill Par-5; a good second shot will end up in the pond at the top of the hill...on the map, it looked much closer to the green). The course map and tee markers were only marginally helpful. This is one course where experience is a major benefit. My only complaint was the bunkers, as others have said as well. I expected some casual water in them because of the recent rain, but it was obvious that they hadn't been maintained well, even before the rain. Where they weren't under water, they were rock hard and the edges were ragged and weedy...not at all in keeping with the otherwise good condition of the course.
