About Pocono Manor Resort & Spa
Life changed at Pocono Manor on Nov. 1, 2019, when a fire ripped through the historic inn, causing significant damage that's led to an ongoing closure. Although there are plans to renovate and rebuild, only the golf course is currently open. Currently, golfers looking to stay and play the historic course can book accommodations at nearby partner properties through the resort website. There is food available in the clubhouse.Facts

First time and we will be back!
Booked this round to play with my 7 year old son and we had a blast! The Course was beautiful, the staff couldn't have been friendlier, and even the groups before and after us were extremely friendly.
Average at Best
Not well maintained, lots of kind tee shots that for first timers difficult to know where you should hit. Pace of play was fine as it was 100 degrees and not many people on the course. Good for a warmup first day of vacation.
SUPER SLOW
They book every 8 minutes here. Stay away unless you got 6 hours to play a round. Absolutely the worst.
Nice layout
First time playing. Starter was very helpful and course offers printed advice for each hole. Couple greens were patchy but overall course was in nice shape. Will definitely be playing again.
Needs some TLC
Cart paths and senior tee boxes need a lot of work
Course has a great layout
Gone to seed
Cart paths that loosen your fillings.
Greens cut ridiculously short to keep several types of grass (weeds) uniform resulting in any downhill slope guaranteed to roll off the green. We gave up on scoring. Occasional 3 foot wide holes on tees and greens. We had enough after 14 holes and left. Lovely portapoties too. Yuk! This place has sadly gone to seed.
But the people working there were great.
That’s not enough though. Never again.
The cart paths are in terrible condition
Tee boxes for seniors are non existent on some holes
Basically teeing off on a fairway
Great Value
For the price, we really enjoyed it. I would definitely come back.
The greens definitely were not in great shape, but it is nearing the end of the season, so I will give a pass on that. There was a couple of holes where the pin was on a sloped hill with no level ground around it, so your putting skills need to be pretty good! They were pretty fast greens so the ball really ran on you. Hard to get a touch to get it close to the hole as often the ball just ran downhill.
Leaves had been coming down already, and they didn't an excellent job with making sure they were off the course. We played on a weekday as a two-some and never had to wait for anyone in front of us. We played 18 holes in under 4 hours, and there were a few times were we just sat at the tee box and enjoyed a beverage from the cart girl. We probably could have finished in 3 if we just kept playing.
I think it is a shame when four older gentlemen in three carts with at least two open holes in front of them refused to let a twosome play through. We were on the white tee on number ten when one of the gentleman was on the red tee, teeing off. He was aware of us behind him. On the eleventh tee, I did roll my drive into them. On the twelfth hole the snack cart came by close to the green and they proceeded to snack in their carts not motioning us through. We picked up our ball s and went around them. Therefore the poor rating
Fun course
This course has uphill and downhill lies. Narrow fairways. Your first time here you will loose a lot of balls. Played in September, no rain for over a month, the course was hard. I think playing in the beginning of the season is a much better option. Lots of trees but that is Pocono golf. Despite being a holiday the pace of play was very good. Check out Pocono Manor -you might be pleasantly be surprised.
You needed to call the pro shop and tell them that there is a slow group ahead, then when coming up to tee box where they are teeing off or just hit, just pass them and say we are playing thru, leave the issue behind...
