The leaves were at their best, and the views great. Photo submitted by bdad9428 on 10/18/2013
Great views, classic course
A classic mountain resort course, Skytop challenges everyone sooner or later. The par 3's are long and/or uphill. Hole 9 is a nice par 5 which works well with my natural driving slice. Hole 12 is a tough uphill par 3, go one club more than normal. Hole 17 looks easy, but it's a bit of a slog. Skytop saves the best for last; Hole 18 is a nice challenge. The green is elevated and looks daunting. But a decent drive and a smartly struck six iron should help towards a rewarding par. Overall, a great mountain course.
one of the best in the area
Beautiful course. Best price. Challenging holes long par 4s.
spectacular views, friendly staff, course was in great condition.
played the course in early May. The course was in great condition, fast greens, fairways and tee boxes were also good. The course has a wide variety of holes that move left, right and straight and require accurate tee shots usually followed by a mid to short iron. The course in general plays short with the exception of the Par 3's which are tough. Most greens are pretty small with lots of movement on them.
The course was empty with very few groups playing behind us. We teed off first at 8am as a twosome and were done in a little over 3hrs.
Course loses a star as most of the Par 4 are a little short. 300-360yds
At $20. a great value. 90 plus should play from foward tees.
A wonderful mountain couse well maintained even early in the season (4/28). Wide fairways but difficult to read greens, wide variety of holes, but slow weekend play due to resort guest hackers. A must for anyone playing golf in the Poconos.
Very nice course.
Loved this course, can't wait to play it again. Challenging but not frustating.
Course was in excellent shape. Look forward to playing it next summer.
I was lucky enough to play this course for a discounted rate this time. I will gladly pay full price next summer when I play it again. Seasonal changes will vary the difficulty and skill required. Greens are small but held well. If you have the misfortune of resting in a green side bunker plan to bounce over the green on your exit. Fairways well manacured. Did not lose a ball because of leaves even though I played in the heart of leaf drop.
Above average course
Course was wet the day we played it due to recent heavy rain. Would like to return and play under better conditions, but would play this course again. It was in decent shape, moderately difficult , decent value for the money.
