I’m a + 1 handicap who has seen pga courses and $15 dollar dog tracks. This course is great. If this course had a driving range and a little bit better pace of play I’d give it 5 stars solely for the upkeep on a public course alone. It’s easily one of the best courses in the area and for a public course that’s somewhat affordable it is honestly the best. Just go play it. If you’re a single be prepared to be paired up if it’s a busy tee time. I usually go in the mornings if I wanna lock in on my own. Carts are the nicest in the entire area. You will get your camera out for the water views of hartwell. Usually you have to get tee times atleast a day out so plan ahead. I give design a 4.0. It really could be lower just because almost every hole is dead straight and flat. It’s no artists course is all. It’s perfect if you want to go out and hunt pins all day.

This is a beautiful challenging course that was a pleasure to play. The lack of a driving range or even a practice green was a glaring miss.

Outside of the private courses in the Upstate of SC, this course is one of the best taken care of. The friendliness of the entire staff was great and welcoming. The greens held true / consistent and rolled smooth and were very fast the day we played. Looking forward to the warmup and practice facilities being completed. The only issue we experienced was the 4 college guys who pushed us the last 6 holes, while we were on pace with a good playing time, finished the round in just under 4 hours.

I have played golf regularly for the past 8 years. This is the best course I have ever played on. I played with 3 other friends and we all feel the same. Keep up the good work !!

Loved the course, we went out at 5:10 PM but couldn’t finish do to darkness

Course is in fantastic shape after an inch of rain. Greens were a bit slow expectedly. Beautiful views on the back as everything greens up. Groundskeepers have did everything right. New clubhouse is huge and very inviting. Cannot wait for new practice areas to finish construction. This is already a premier to be public and available on Golfnow. Hopefully it stays that way after all the recent improvements. I use Golfnow frequently being a vip member and I play this course every time it is available. My favorite course by far even though I pull for the right team, The Gamecocks.

They are doing massive reservations to practice facility
