Pine hills
Excellent course. Lots of rain prior so the course was wet as expected. Great layout. Interesting pin locations made this a fun time. Would recommend as a great value course to anyone! Greens were fantastic.
Good Value
Overall this course is a good value. The conditions were off due to the over seeding. It was very soggy. The staff was helpful and friendly. The layout is challenging but not severe.
Great Mixture of Classic Design & Target Holes
The course was fun to play with some beautiful, pine-lined holes mixed up with some target-water holes. Condition was a bit disappointing because they had just done the winter seeding and water was standing on a lot of holes. We even took casual water relief on many greens and collars. A few tee boxes are beat up. Fairways and greens were very nice. I would say this course is a little rough compared to the more manicured courses.
Staff was super-friendly.
I will go back but it won't be at the top of my play list.
Myrtlewood Golf Course
Beautiful and challenging course. Busy…it felt like it was maybe overbooked but we got our round in. Would definitely play it again next year.
Nice day
Nice enough course. Greens had a few brown spots, were a little grainy, and rolled oddly at times, but part of that is my not being used to bermuda. My biggest complaint is that a lot of the approaches, especially on the back 9, were really drenched and played so soft and soggy that it was inconsistent with the rest of the other course conditions. Last 2 holes are a very nice finish to the round.
Beautiful course
This course is so beautiful very well maintained staff is top notch next time we are in South Carolina the wife and I will be booking a tee time
The ranger needs to understand pace of play. He asked our group what our problem was because we weee a hole behind.. No problem because the 3 in front of us were playing red tees. The group behind us were never pushing us. We were on pace to complete our round under their 4.5 hour schedule and we did, 4 hrs 20 minutes. His tone was quite rude and didn’t appreciate the fact that we told him our pace was not the issue.
Palmetto course
You don’t come near club house until your done 18. Be nice to have snack shack open?
Good Course for Repeated Play
I like this course. Challenging, in good shape even though it has a ton of play. Greens great, traps pretty good, albeit sometimes they have water long after rain. This is the kind of course that I would like to play often, and not as a one time experience. That is, if I was to select a "home" course this would be the type. So, I play this course often, when in MB, as well as the sister Palmetto course. Two of the best in MB area.
Golf Course for a good time
The Palmetto at Myrtlewood Golf Club was a good experience for the price. Although the course was not in peak condition, the greens rolled somewhat slow but true to roll and line.
The course was an overall great experience but the staff did not want to stay late as our tee time was an afternoon tee time.
The course took the driver out of the hands a large portion of the course, this did not seem necessary or wanted at any point. It makes you play some unique shots but overall took your long clubs out of your hands on the tee a large number of times, due to water hazards.
Pro shop had great swag to buy and drinks were reasonably priced.
The 18th hole was a great experience with a canal to the ocean on the left of the fairway. We experienced large to small boats (yachts) passing the canal and jamming to music. This really added to the atmosphere of the course
