Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club

Played Pawley's Plantation for the first time. From the time we opened the doors at the bag drop it was a great experience. We started on #10, a short par 4 with water on the right and in front of the green. It made it clear playing the straight ball would be the best way to play the course. Top notch facilities, great staff and fair pin placements made for a very good day of golf. This is my new favorite course in the Myrtle Beach area.

We only got to play 3 holes on this day due to a torrential rainfall and storms, but the staff was more than accommodating in giving us a rain check. Will definitely use it at a later date.

Layout has long par4s and large oaks in the middle of fairways. Greens were recently aerated so that part of the game was missing. Marsh tee boxes were exciting to play.

I have always wanted to play this course and was not disappointed. Some improvements were being made in the parking area and the tee boxes on the marsh holes, No. 13 & 17 detracted a little from the experience but otherwise would rate this course a 5. A little course knowledge would help on a few holes. Basically, if there is a tree in the middle of the fairway, stay left.

The course is available to play at your convenience even during the busy season. Employees are very polite and willing to help you enjoy your day. The Marshalls are very active to ensure a smooth round. We played there 3 times in one week and the only negative was at check in on Saturday. They only had one person in the pro shop with a tournament going off. Long wait to check in. All else was exceptional.

My son and I played Pawleys on July 5th.
We went off the back as the morning was a little busy. Views from the back 9 are great and the course is very good. Having just been aerated in the past couple of weeks, the greens were not as fast as I would have thought they might be but were recovering well. Fairways and tee boxes in very good condition.
After we made the turn, we pretty much had the course to ourselves. I would recommend this course as a must play.

This was the best course I have ever played. My brother, nephew, and I agree that from all the courses we have played, the staff was exceptional and the course had a tee box for every level of play. My wife rode along without playing and she thought it to be the best course we ever played. I hope to have the opportunity to play again one day, it was awesome.

course conditions were not as good as expected. greens spotty, but still rolled true.

Challenging, beautiful course which we had to ourselves, and the staff was very friendly!

Played the first 9 in 1.5 hrs by myself. Had the first tee time by myself. waited 30 mins then played the back by myself in 2.5 hrs. Did not really care for this,but I booked for one only while on vac. Great course. great weather.

This is a terrific course, and while more expensive than other options it is worth the money.

Excellent facilities, very nice course in good condition. Marshals keep things moving. Nice range, and a good selection of tees to match all skill levels. Our spouses had a good time. The "island" green on 13 was microscopic -- a bit silly in my mind, but other than that the layout moved through trees, swamp and rivers. Very pretty, very playable and a lot of fun.

Just a great layout, challenging with great vistas and very good greens.... When in the Myrtle Beach area, its worth the drive. Playable for all handicaps. I'm a 12. My wife is a 25 and enjoyed herself too. We will be back ...
