Tudor Oaks Inn
About Tudor Oaks Inn
The Tudor Oaks Inn in Summerville, South Carolina, is a small outpost with only three rooms named after famous golf courses in Scotland (St. Andrews), England (Sunningdale) and Ireland (Royal Dublin). It sleeps only six, but staying has its perks: Access to the golf and tennis at the adjacent semiprivate club, the Legend Oaks Golf & Tennis Club, which offers the Bistro One18 restaurant. Tudor Oaks Inn, which also has an outdoor pool, is located within 25 minutes of Charleston and near three large plantations worth touring - Middleton Place, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, and Drayton Hall.Facts

Great time
Course was in overall good condition a few damp spots. Madison made the rounds with the beverage cart often, she is so fun and friendly!
Fast Greens
Unfortunately the course was recovering from rain several days before and it was cart path only. Some of the greens on the front were a little rough. Would help to play this course more than once to remember some of the ponds and trouble spots.
Top 3 worst greens I’ve ever seen
Course layout is great. Super nice feeling to the golf course but the greens are some of the worst I have ever seen. After 5 holes I didn’t even want to keep playing they were so bad.
Legend Oaks was nice but extremely wet
Nice place service wise with good amenities and structure. It rained multiple days before we played and it was muddy and sloshy. Not a good players experience. I plan on coming back when it gets drier.
Poor drainage
Course does not drain well at all when it rains. Lots of standing water on the fairways. We did have a lot of rain recently, but the course just doesn’t drain well.
Awful awful greens
Greens and T-boxes look like a retired goat ranch. Fairways however were in beautiful shape. The rough was like anything I’d ever seen before. It was like super glue! It just ate your ball. Crazy. I loved the course layout and if the T- boxes and greens were in better shape it would be justified to charge $75 to play it. Until that happens don’t pay over $45.
Chuck
Course is in rough shape. Several tee boxes that were borderline unplayable, as well as a handful of greens with barely any grass. Hopefully they fix things come fall, but it’s not worth $80.
Tough course!
Played solo - tough and tight course layout with water everywhere (to be expected).
Nice fairways and layout. Tough and narrow. Unfortunately the greens were awful… maybe 3 playable greens, hole 13 needs to start over on the green. It has turned into complete dirt. Could not imagine paying 73 dollars for this place with the little time put into making greens worthwhile.
Poor upkeep
I am hoping it was the rain, but it was hard to find an even place to stand on nearly every tee box, and the greens were all over the place. Some were mostly just dirt, extremely large brown spots that were polar opposite speed of the somewhat better conditioned greens.
Great course layout
I like the layout of the course. Some of the greens were a little rough. One of the best cheese burgers I have had!
Disappointed in condition of some greens
3 or 4 greens are suffering from some fungus. It doesn’t appear they have been treated. I played her about 3wooks ago and the greens are much worse. The rest of the course was in great condition.
