expensive rate for 1100 tee time, $150 per, tee boxes not in great condition, no GPS in carts. look for a discount before playing

Having played several HHI courses, this one is on par with the rest. Paid a lot more to play Fazio course and wasnt impressed. Better value here. Free junior golf clubs and free play for my young one had me bringing my other kids back to play here on consecutive days. Also-one of these days the pace was awful due to a tournament and the pga pro came and got us and placed us on the open course Robber’s Row. I liked this layout very much but Barony was nice as well.

I was looking forward to playing Port Royal as I was here many years ago but never played the Barony course. Bad start as they were running a little late and no coffee or anything to eat or drink at 8:20 AM! I was lying for a cup of coffee. Played the round in 4:40. No rangers to be seen. The tee boxes were in horrible shape and the greens worse than a local muni. Fairways had been punched but were either burnt or muddy. This is supposed to be a premier course in a Westin property. It’s not. Layout ok if u like a bunch of doglegs.

The staff were wonderful. The amenities included were second to none. The course was average condition. Greens were on the small side, grass coverage was ok, greens were of a mixed grass blend. The cart paths were very good and concrete. Facilities were in great shape. The fairways showed signs of excessive watering on the course we played. The bunkers were in great shape.

Pace of play was good for a resort.

Lots of history among tee boxes. They really pack players onto course but overall pace was ok. I will definitely play again on next trip.

Course was healing from aeration, would love to see it at its BEST.

The course is in good course. Greens were aerated recently…but hit it firm!

Nice Club in Port Royal Plantation on Hilton Head. Typically this is nice course. The Layout of the fairways are generous but each hole offers some kind of challenge verse reward. The. Club House is nice and the staff friendly. My biggest cripe this round is that we were never told that the course was just aerated - fairways and greens- totally impacting play- to top it off they even turned the sprinklers on while player were still trying to complete there rounds. :( even when we waited the course was too wet to play some holes. Very sad. Otherwise - despite a less that great expedience this time out we still enjoyed this course.

Enjoyed the round. Pace of play was decent. A bit slow on front 9, but that is to be expected for resort course. Finished 18 in just under 4 hours.

Greens and fairways in great shape. Sand traps just needed some cracking after the recent and significant rainfall

1st time golfing here. Great course in excellent shape.

Friendly staff, course was in good shape. Had a good time overall. Would play there again.
