Barony at Port Royal Golf Club

Parking lot was being resealed. No communication or assistance. Paid for Barony but was to it was under repair and Robbers is what I played.

The course is ok. The greens were awful because they had just sanded them...Note to self, always call ahead and find out if there is greenswork happening. The people there are very nice. Golf carts ok, but would be nice to have GPS, especially for the price.

Booked on Golf Now and neither GolfNow or the Pro Shop when I checked in advised that they had just sent all of the greens so it was a pathetic round of golf especially consider considering the price paid.

I guess collecting money is the only thing that matters from GolfNow and Port Royal

I do not plan to use either one again

Fun course, narrow fairways, tiny greens. Definitely a tough one. Overall very fun!

We played both courses and the staff was very friendly.

Overall the course was in good shape. Pace of play was a little slower than I would have liked. Forgiving wide fairways. Water and fairway bunkers reward accuracy on several holes. The greens are for sure some of the smallest and most difficult I’ve played. If your approach shot is not a very high and soft shot, best to try and land short and take advantage of the release onto the green. Had several that would stick the front of green and roll all the way across. But will definitely play here again next time I am in town.

Found this course in great shape and pace of play was well managed by the course ranger

Barony is and always has been a great experience. Great staff. Fairways and greens are in very good condition considering the extreme heat this past few months. Highly recommend.

Been playing Barony Course for years now and always have had a great experience. Staff is always friendly. Course was in very good condition considering the heat we've had over the past few months. Fairways and greens were in good condition along with a great layout. I'll be back soon and highly recommend this course.

The greens were aerated not mowed. Patches of grass in the greens..

As a mid-level (price wise) course in HHI, this was a great value. A few slight issues with pace of play which was frustrating, compared to other HHI courses that are close to double the price, I would easily play here for a great value.

Course overall was in good condition. A bit easy and short. May consider playing on longer tees if we return.

Golf staff was extremely friendly and helpful, however the bartender in the clubhouse was extremely rude and condescending when we simply asked for a water after a hot day. It kind of put a damper on our experience. We planned on going to the pro shop to buy some things but decided we just wanted to leave.
