Bent Creek Golf Village

Beautiful course set in the mountains. Difficult but very fun. Front 9 is relatively flat and open, back 9 is IN the mountains... dog legs, narrow fairways, and downhill par 3's galore.

Hidden gem of a course. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The course conditions were great, even with rain the night before. Front 9 greens a little slow but true. The back 9 greens were great. Fairways were great, rough a bit punishing as it should be. Playing here brought back memories of playing here with my dad years ago, and I will say the course condition is the best I have ever seen it !!

Cant wait to play here again.

We played this course this past weekend and had a great time. The greens were in fantastic shape and the layout is what sets it apart. The course isn't very long but there are some unique holes that you don't see very often and that's what makes it great. There are a few tee boxes on the back nine that could use some attention but nothing that really takes away from the round. Touching up those tee boxes and bringing back some of the bunkers that are now overgrown would move this to a 5 star rating for me.

2 Things I recommend to anyone playing here:

1) Bug spray. We read reviews before the round about the bugs being bad and it saved us big time. If you don't use bug spray, you may not have a good time.

2) Pay attention to the hole description for each hole on the scorecard. There are creeks and bunkers that you won't be able to see from most of the tee boxes.

P.S. There is a practice putting green but no driving range. I don't count it as a knock on the course though because it's in the middle of the mountains and they have to make due with what land they have.

2 things I'll recommend to people coming to play this course:

I got a great deal on Golf Now for a late morning tee off on a Tuesday. It had rained a lot the previous few days but the course was in great shape. It was challenging, with all the water, but a fun course. My only complaint was, my wife came along j just to ride in the cart with me, since we were on vacation together. But they were going to charge her $21.95 just for a "rider fee" (which was more than I paid for playing 18 holes with the cart). She went shopping instead (which ended up costing me more than the rider fee!), and I played by myself. Other than that, I was very happy with my experience.

To start off with the staff was super friendly and seemed to appreciate us playing. This is a well thought out course with challenging holes absolutely love the back nine highly recommended and will be going back myself!!

I like the course layout; challenging for all levels. The only drawback are the gnats; with the proper amount of bug spray they are controllable.

Tied my career low score here yesterday! Have fun on the back and be sure to read scorecard to double check aim point and distance. Amazing course

Course was a lot of fun to play. Typical of what is to be expected from a mountain course, blind shots and elevation changes. Staff was great. Only hiccup was my cart dying between 2 and3. Course conditions were a little rough, dry fairways and shaggy greens on some holes. Didn't take away from the enjoyment of the round though. All in all, a great day.

This course has a chance if the right commitment is made to improve the conditions especially to the front 9. The front 9 was rough, fairways and around the greens need considerable attention...most of it can be done with proper mowing....the greens in the front were fine...would rate them a 7. The back 9 was very good...fast and properly mowed fairways with solid greens that I would rate at a 9. Would definitely recommend the course. Hope Management is willing to spend the money to make this course a place to remember. Would also point out staff was polite and professional.

Good layout. Front 9 is flat but the back 9 is very hilly with some interesting holes. The greens were in very good condition. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

It rained earlier a.nd the course was pretty and it was cart path only, Lots of bugs.

This is.a beautiful course in the mountains, surrounded by homes. The front nine stays in the valley while the back works up through the hills. There are some really fun and creative, not to mention spectacularly scenic holes, especially on that back 9, However, prior course knowledge would make a world of difference...at least pair with someone who has played. The scorecard provides some guidance, but still found myself in bad positions following what I thought was a perfect tee shot. Green rolled very well and held approach shots. Never saw any beverage service on the course, but maybe that’s a weekend perk. Overall, enjoyed the course.

First time playing at Bent Creek and it was a great experience. Course is very challenging and unique. Would recommend this course to anyone who is in the area with all the great views of the Smokey Mountains and the creek that runs throughout the course as well.

Staff is excellent. The course was a little rough, but that is to be expected this time of year. It was playable, but very saturated. I guarantee this course is beautiful in late spring through the fall. Cool layout. Hope to get to play it again when weather conditions improve.

This course is loaded with water hazards. Seems every hole has the possibility of the ball getting drowned by a mountain stream or man made pond.!! Looking for your ball generally will have you finding someone else’s ball.! Losing golf balls has no relevance when surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mts. The cart paths are in terrible shape on the front nine with standing water and muddy areas. But, Tn. has experienced an extremely wet fall and winter. Worth noting is all the cart path bridges have been replaced recently with all new bridges. Folks, this was expensive. Bridge replacement indicates the management is committed to this course's future AND the safety of its clientele. Please use caution on the very steep sections (2 or 3 places) of the cart paths. These sections are not for the drunks or kids to be driving the cart.! Lots of tough fairways, hard to place your shot with "blind" landings and hazards. Multiple rounds will help with that. Greens were in excellent shape. Fairways were acceptable considering the wet weather. Summary: go play.!

Course was really wet from 5 inches of rain the day before. Greens were good and Bermuda was dormant. Front nine holes were tough but fair with lots of trouble. The back nine had a lot of blind shots and was very tight. There was a lot of elevation changes and tricky greens.
