Not worth the money
Gaylord is overpriced and not worth the money anymore.
Awful customer service
I would rate this course so much higher if it wasn’t for the customer service in the pro shop. We were the second tee time and when we arrived you could see a lot of the sprinklers running on the fairways which seemed normal. When we paid nothing was said about the course conditions. When we were ready to tee off the starter says “by the way did they tell you in the pro shop it was cart path only?” We told him no and continued. Around hole number 8 a ranger came by and I told him how unhappy we were not being told about the no cart path rules before we paid and my buddy was having a hard walking due to him being a disabled Vet. He called the pro shop on his radio and nothing was said. He advised me it would be best to go into the pro shop when we made the turn. I believe I spoke with was either the pro or manager l believe named Jim suggested he instruct his staff to notify customers before they pay of the no cart path restrictions and told him about my buddy’s problem walking. His reply you should have told us before you started and I said well if you would’ve told us we definitely would’ve of told you and probably not played. He was very rude and gave no apologies. It’s ashamed because it’s a really nice course but we won’t be back.
Amazing
Crew Very professional and helpfull. Amazing course and greens!
Course in great shape. Fun layout. Be ready for 5 hour round
Course was in great shape. Great layout. Played 6655 tees. Receptive fairways. Nice size greens. Would definitely come back. Only downside is weekends members let you know it’s 5 hours. They don’t move people along.
Beautiful course and great staff
This was my first time playing this course and I enjoyed every hole. Discourse as well maintain and fun to play auto challenging. I would definitely play this course again and it is worth every dollar. Staff was excellent from the starter to the grill.
Excellent
If you’re planning on staying at the Gaylord Opry hotel then go ahead and set a tee time at Gaylord Springs! The price is right and the course is in great condition. Links style course that is challenging enough for better players but also wide open for newer players or higher handicaps. There is a shuttle service that will pick you up and take you back to the hotel from the course. Definitely recommend playing this track!
Whats up with the overly cautious gps on the golf carts
With a heat index of 105, there are far too many holes that are cart path only. Additionally, you cannot take the cart within 75 yards of the green. Gaylord Springs Golf links needs to fix this to make the course more player friendly.
Warning to Out of Towners
This course is a good course to play. HOWEVER. It is not and never will be worth $130-$170. There’s 10 courses in the area that are just as good/better for half the price. Do not pay the outrageous prices for this course.
Great staff, course is usually in good shape, but it’s just not worth the money. They know they can charge it because the players from out of town will pay it. Don’t walk away from a round wondering why you just spent so much money.
Amazing experience
Played from back tees
Beautiful course, superbly maintained.
Staff was super friendly & respectful
Strongly recommended
Great Greens, Fun Layout
First time playing the course. Clubhouse, range and practice areas were nice. Starter was very friendly and gave us plenty of good info. Course layout was great with some of the best greens in the area. The only thing this course does wrong is marketing! Take some good pics and show it off!
