Gaylord

It was my first time playing the course. The temperature was extremely hot, but we were able to pick up some ice on the way out and some water to keep us cool. The course was an impeccable shape. The greens were fantastic. The fairways were lush green lots of water on the course though highly recommended.

Great experience

A beautiful course. Challenging and fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wranglers were good about getting the pace of pay kept up as much as possible.

Beautiful golf course

Great course, good food, and super friendly staff. The course was in great shape with challenging moguls and water features. The greens were smooth and fast.

The marshal was present on course but could not seem to keep the group ahead of us playing ready golf and this added about 30 additional minutes to our game.

Overall, a great day on a pretty course.

Golf

Played on a rainy day where there were only a few cars in the parking lot. Caught up to a foursome and a group of 5. Not sure why 5 are allowed to go out together. Once we caught them it was us sitting 20 minutes per hole to tee off. We didn't even finish the round because of the glacial pace of play. Course was in good shape but I didn't have it in me to play a 6 hour round when there's less than 15 people on the course.

Good amenities, average conditions for price

Great clubhouse and surrounding practice area. Greens were in good shape for the most part, and rolled nice. Some fairways and some paths need work, and no range balls($10 for an small) included for a $125+ round made it not worth the price.

Not worth the $

Only positive was it wasn’t cart path only. Based on fairway conditions, it should have been. It would’ve made pace of play intolerable.

Customer Service and Pace of Play Awful

The only time anyone on staff recognized me, was when I paid my greens fee and was 10-12 minutes off pace and told to pick up the pace, even though we were not holding up the group behind us. The first time I had to wait was when we got back on pace according to the cart gps. I couldn’t get anyone’s attention at the turn to get something to eat or drink and my group was slow enough, I had no time to order/eat it anyway. I recommend bringing your own food and drink to save time. A side note: a local warned me not to tee up drives in the grass tees when the mats are to be used. Plan on getting creative to hit some drivers before your round.

Great course even early in the season

Top shelf golf course, atmosphere and staff. Driving into Gaylord Springs you recognize you are in a different class of venues. Course is in immaculate condition as viewed from the road that winds through many holes of the course. Greens are elevated, quick and true. Bunkers filled with perfect amounts of white sand. Cumberland River boarders the course on 4 holes for some picturesque views. Cost is on the higher side but is a great track. Don’t forget to bring your A game. Lots of challenges every hole!

Nice course

What could be better than this, nice course along the Cumberland River. Scenic and peaceful. I played as a solo and didn't catch up to another group until. The 16th hole. Priced high so value is hard to meet at that price but I did enjoy the course.

Waste of money!

They charge you for the name/area, not the course itself. Every time I’ve played here, there has been some type of construction going on at the course. Thing is, they still charged me full price. There was one hole where they had plywood covering a hole that was barely off the green. Not only that, we had a marshall tell us to speed up even though there was a group in the fairway while we were on the green. The bar staff is nice and the amenities are ok but the course and starter/marshalls make paying this much to play not even remotely worth it!

Starter has some bolts loose upstairs

Starter let a 3 some tee off, a single after him, and then tells us we “should’ve been told we were running 20 minutes behind”.

Something not adding up lol.

Great course!

Great course, well maintained, and beautiful scenery. Cart beverages were available on a week day which is a huge plus. The pace of play kept going off and you get a way better deal booking directly with them. The down side is it is hard to find the link to book a tee time directly on my phone and they do not do reservations over the phone. I think it’s the best course I have played in the area and I have played every day this week at a different course.

Awful customer service

I would rate this course so much higher if it wasn’t for the customer service in the pro shop. We were the second tee time and when we arrived you could see a lot of the sprinklers running on the fairways which seemed normal. When we paid nothing was said about the course conditions. When we were ready to tee off the starter says “by the way did they tell you in the pro shop it was cart path only?” We told him no and continued. Around hole number 8 a ranger came by and I told him how unhappy we were not being told about the no cart path rules before we paid and my buddy was having a hard walking due to him being a disabled Vet. He called the pro shop on his radio and nothing was said. He advised me it would be best to go into the pro shop when we made the turn. I believe I spoke with was either the pro or manager l believe named Jim suggested he instruct his staff to notify customers before they pay of the no cart path restrictions and told him about my buddy’s problem walking. His reply you should have told us before you started and I said well if you would’ve told us we definitely would’ve of told you and probably not played. He was very rude and gave no apologies. It’s ashamed because it’s a really nice course but we won’t be back.
