Beautiful golf course
Staff were friendly and the course was beautiful. The greens were so smooth! A little pricey but had a great time!
WOW
Incredible course , start to finish. Even with rain from hole 5 till it stopped on 18.🙄😂
Fast greens !
Would not hesitate to play it again.
Pace of play and unfriendly marshals
The course is nice enough, challenging if you play the back tees. Really detracts from the experience when the marshal (older guy named Don I think) is unnecessarily rude to your group when we are waiting to hit on every tee box. No use for an old grouch just riding along griping at every group, especially when they are obviously not the reason play is behind pace.
Overall, above average for a public course but don’t expect any southern hospitality.
Great Course But Unfortunately Puddles due to the Rain
Days of rain left the fairways with large puddles in spots and overall very wet. The weather obviously is not under course control, but everything they can control (conditions, amenities, staff, etc.) were all perfect.
Best public course in Nashville
Still my favorite course in Nashville. Course does not drain well so expect cart path only if it’s rained. Greens are always good, pace of play was great but it was a Tuesday afternoon.
Good time
We were able to get the round in after a brief rain however it was cart path only was paired with a single. Not many people in the course so got done in 3.5 hrs. Fun round
Poor condition and expensive
Very disappointed in the condition of this course. The greens were very rough and full of marks and dents, and the old pin positions were poorly repaired. The fairways were average at best, with many unfilled divots. Another golfer said there had been some flooding in the course recently which might explain some of the poor conditions, but for an expensive resort course you would expect much better.
The layout is fair, although water is in play on several holes. Bunker conditions were very good, with some deep greenside traps that are best avoided.
The course was dry, but was restricted to cart path only, which really slows the pace of play. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the pro shop and restaurant are very nice.
This is probably a great course when it is in better condition, but for over $100 you are better to drive to Springfield or Dickson.
A shame...
Really hate leaving such a review, but felt like my experience should be shared as I'd have never booked a round her had I read a review like this. I'll start with this, the golf course itself, layout, condition, etc is what I expected. It's a solid layout and for winter golf, was in great shape. That's the reason for the second star, nothing else I encountered was even remotely close to deserving the second star. The pace of place was the absolute worst I've ever encountered in my golfing life. I have an extensive background in the golf industry and I understand things like cart path only can make pace a little slower than normal, but an hour to play 3 holes, one being a 135 yard par 3, is ridiculous. We saw the "player assistant" constantly and finally asked him on the 5th tee why the group in front of us was so out of position. He did then go and ask them to speed up, but the damage was done...after taking over 2 hours to complete 7 holes, my wife and I were so fed up with it, that I simply decided to call my $200 I paid to play "money spent and a lesson learned" and made the decision to call it a day. We then decided that since we still had a little time allotted to our day, that we'd sit at the grill and have lunch. I can say the staff at the bar were very polite and great...but the food experience was unimaginable. Again, not trying to be too over the top with negativity, but this is by far the worst food experience I've ever had in relation to expectation vs reality. I feel certain the food was prepared well in advance and then just microwaved to service. We had basic items I figured any decent level golf course could serve easily, and it was atrocious. Chili cheese fries that there was no way the fries were just prepared and the then topped. Chicken quesadilla that was nor better than gas station/frozen meal prepared in a microwave worthy. Potato salad that was obviously put into a single service cup days ago and then pulled out and served. Meanwhile, it was all served on paper plates, with plastic utensils. All in all, I spent $300 for 7 holes of golf at the worst pace I've ever encountered, and a meal I wouldn't rank above a middle of nowhere gas station.
Great Condition Public Course
This course is fun and challenging. Almost every shot has some sort of hazard or OB in play and the layout is inventive. The pace of the greens and pin placement when I played were really challenging. I haven’t 3 putted that much in a long time. I’m ready to come back and try to get a better round together.
