Approach to the par-5 14th hole Photo submitted by ShragMagtite on 09/30/2019
A challenging course
I like the course, but we played after airation and it was
not too good for putting, so I could not get a great feel for
it.
great features
Course was great for the eleven holes that we played. Then the lighting came and then the rain. Will try again Sunday.
This course is challenging.
Greens fast and excellent condition. Fairways in excellent condition. Carts have club covers in case of rain. Each hole is pictured in cart book with accurate yardages. We would definitely play again.
nice course, well maintained, friendly staff, course layout OK
Overall a good course, my only disappointment was that I found the course to be a bit boring in terms of its layout--not much of a Wow factor in terms of scenic design. However, this is an easy course to walk as minimal changes in elevation, The staff was very friendly and the green fees were very reasonable.
Good round of golf
Played 18 holes as a 2 some in under 3 1/2 hrs with some waiting time. Course was in great shape. Even the sand traps were freshly trimmed and raked and we played late afternoon. Liked it so much we booked for the next afternoon and played in less time even with stopping for a rain shower to pass by. Good test of golf for the average player.
Great place to play
The course condition is far above others in the area that charge a similar rate! Staff was friendly and I will be coming back.
Best value in Crossville
This course is well maintained and is laid out to be challenging. The par 70 course is pristine and makes for an enjoyable round of golf. The waiting time was minimal and I completed 18 holes in 3.5 hours. This was my first visit to Lake Tansi CC. I plan to play at least once every week thru November at this course.
Ranger!!!!
The ranger follows you around the whole time. You'll see him a dozen or more time in your round??? He drove right past me in a down swing??? He hides in trees and pops out all the time??? There was no one behind us and one group we caught a few holes. But there is no reason for him to be around that much! The ranger is rude, unfriendly, and has no respect for the players!!!
Great course for a great price.
We live in Fairfield Glade which is close to Tanzi. This is the first time we played the course..We were extremely pleased with the condition of the course, the greens were in excellent shape..Little water.. My wife really enjoyed the course and shot her best round ever for her.We plan to try and play it many more times between now and the cold weather..Front 9 played faster than the back 9 but it wasn't too slow...Waited just a little.
Course is in great shape!
We have played this course for the past several years and this year with the frequent afternoon showers and maintenance on the course the tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in some of the best shape I have ever seen them. The only reason I didn't give this course 5 stars is bc the course plays slow. We always know that going in and are used to it, but we play as a two some and can usually play 18 in 3 3/4 hrs, but we always go over 4 at this course getting behind slower players etc... Great course overall though really enjoy playing here.
This course has everything you want in a golf course
You can tell this course gets plenty of water, because of the full grass on both the fairways and the rough. Don't expect a lot of roll. It pays to hit the ball straight and keep it out of the rough and out of bounds which there is plenty of. The course is beautiful eventhough it is surrounded by houses and condo's.
Challenging 3 finishing holes.
Although the course may seem short on the score card, there is plenty of trouble with wayward shots. The finishing 3 holes are quite a challenge.
Great value
Course was in good condition. Staff was very friendly. I only got to play this course once on my vacation. It was better than I expected and was suprised there were so few players on the course. Outstanding value for this area.
Rangers on the course
We waited nearly every hole and a ranger had the nurve to tell us to speed up on number 16 green got to 17 tee and waited again. The ranger pixxed us off. Rangers needs to learn to do his job!!!!
Very nice Cumberland Plateau golf course.
The course features a good blend of left-to-right and right-to left holes. The course's main defense is thick, lush rough. If you stay in the fairway, the course would probably rate as moderate difficulty. Hit it in the rough, and you're in for a long day. We had difficulty finding balls in the rough, even when we saw the general area where the ball came to rest. This was not a lack of maintenance, but a planned setup. I would definitely play here again, but with a strategy geared toward accuracy vs. distance.
Nice course and conditions\ great value
My two sons and I played the back tees [6700] and had a great day even though the course was still very wet after two days of rain. Most all of the greens were in excellent shape and must have good drainage as they were fairly dry considering the weather. Lots of mature trees lining some holes which caused some grief on a couple of the dog legs. My only minor negative comment would be that the course driving range is a ' limited flight' ball range. We teed off at 12:30 on a nice, quiet warm afternoon and pretty much had the course to ourselves. We will definietly play here again if we travel back to the same area.
Great!
The course was in great condition which really surprised us since it was March and most fairways in the area were still dormant. Also it had rained heavily the day before which made it a cart path only day, but we still played the round in just under 4 hours and the fairways, though a bit soggy, played great. It was a really great course to play even with the circumstances, and I can’t wait to get back up there when the conditions are even better.
Great Shape
Course well cared for!!!Awesome $$$$$$ value thru Golfnow.com
Nothing to encourage repeat player
Course ok but staff not friendly or helpful at all. Stop pairing players up, let paying customers play with their own choice of people!
Great golfing experience!
The deal that I received, coupled with a Great golf course and Superb Staff made it for an enjoyable day.
