Nestled in the Texas Hill Country, this course is senic and fun to play.
The fairways and Tee boxes are in very good shape for as little rain as they have had. Three of the greens need some work but as spring moves in and the rains provide some natural water, they are sure to get better.
Enjoyed
Enjoyed playing this course. Second time. Would recommend!
Fun course with great views of the Hill Country
This is a good Hill Country course. They keep making improvements. Course in good condition for the Hill Country with the lack of rain. They have done away with the grill and just have snacks and beverages. The grill is something I miss. a hot dog or burger is always great at the turn or end of play.
Another course among many now in the USA that are slowly dying.
It appears to have been a fun layout in it's prime but it's evident that they are trying to cut expenses by letting some past maintenance procedures go by the wayside. i.e. Old ballwashers, beat up tee boxes, didn't overseed this year, etc. Too bad....so sad.
Immaculate tee-boxes! Great course
Some fairways were a little rough, but the greens and tee-boxes were very well kept. Greens were very slow. Very nice course! Loved the views! Will definitely be going back
Great course.
Course is wells obtained. Worth the drive from San Antonio.
Very good course
excellent course and great value, condition of course was well maintained,
This is a good and fun course
I just joined GolfNow and this my first booking. everything went smoothly and the staff is very friendly. The course is in near excellent shape. The only thing keeping it from my top overall rating is a few greens had bad spots and were still recovering. This course will stay on my list as a fun place to play.
Course in Good Condition
Found a Hot Deal for this course. While there were a couple of greens with spots being repaired, the overall course is in really good shape. Staff was great all the way around. Will head back at next opportunity. Layout is challenging, without being a monster.
nice layout
Interesting course with some elevation change and strategic trees. The recent rains have helped the fairways, but rough is pretty sparse and the greens are a bit spotty and variable on speed. Good value.
5th hole not a fair hole, for me a difficult one.
Even from lack of rain during the summer, the course has maintained a lush greens and fairways.
Love the people, love the course, love the view of the Texas Hill Country!
Excellent! very happy with Golf Now and with Flying L. We will do this again often.
Above average HIll Country Track
The Flying L is an above average track that will leave you wondering why you hadn't played it sooner. Super friendly staff that keeps the course in surprisingly good shape. Although it's not very long at just under 6,600 yards, it is a very good test of your golfing skills. Beautiful hill country scenery, friendly staff and patrons make this short drive to Bandera well worth the effort.
