Not worth any amount!!!!
When they say “greens are recovering from the winter season”, they should say…the greens are completely gone and unplayable! The course marshal told us that right before we teed off…seems like the course should be more clear on the conditions.
I’ve played here twice before and the course and service was amazing. This time even the service was terrible. We got to the course early to get some lunch that is included with tour round but after 20mins and no one waiting on us we had to skip lunch. Also, the driving range was under repair so you could hit balls.
I took some work colleagues to the course and I was so embarrassed by the condition and service. I really was shocked by the poor service. I mean even though the course is in back condition, it doesn’t mean that you have to have bad service too. DO NOT PLAY HERE!
Dead Greens
Every Green on the Course was Dead/dirt! And not puttable. Tee boxes and fairways were in great condition. The greens being dead was not disclosed to us prior to paying and playing and that rubbed me the wrong way. The Staff were awesome. We still had a good experience.
Greens are gone
Worst greens in dfw. So bad they are going to tear all 18 up and redo them.
Greens are unplayable
Give the course a break
Have played this course many times and love the layout and clubhouse. Maintenance on the course has steeply declined and honestly need to close the course for a couple months. The greens are 100% unplayable and to charge $300 for a round without notifying you of the course conditions is outright wrong. As a loyal customer of cowboys golf club I will not return and would not recommend it.
Please… cowboys course just shut the course down for a few months.
If you golf in DFW, you’ve probably heard about what a great track this course is. You’ve also probably heard that since winter the greens have been diabolical. I was able to go out there this past week and see it, playing in some charity tournament (for a good cause so happy to play) and every. Single. Green is unputtable. Atrocious.
The facts that they’re still charging $280 (prepaid no less) is not ok.
@ the course. Please. The city loves this course. Cowboys fans love this course. And you need to hold yourself to a higher standard when you represent the Star in your logo. We hope you close it down just for a few months and do a complete redo of every green. Fans, avid golfers, and enjoyers of the course will understand the time it takes. And I promise we will come back and spend top dollar there for the grand experience you are known to offer.
Terrible Course
I have always wanted to play this course as a life long Cowboys fan and avid golfer, so when an early tee time popped up I was excited to play. Upon arrival the pro shop and clubhouse are very nice and exactly what I expected from a Cowboys backed course, then it went down hill. After spending almost $300 to play I expected lush practice areas, and smooth practice greens, instead there were rough undulating tee boxes on the practice range and a terrible patchy putting green. I thought this may not reflect the course and started my round. Although the tee boxes and fairways were fine, the greens are almost unputtable. There is one hole that literally had probably 300 sg ft of sod cut out in each side of the green. What started as an exciting golf day became a frustrating terrible experience because of these greens. The random tee time disclaimer that they are working to improve green conditions comes no where close to giving a clear picture. Do not play here if you take this game serious at all. The amenities are nice and when in good shape I am sure it is a nice experience, but as a Cowboys fan I am surprised Jerry would allow this to happen. I feel like I was literally robbed and will never be back to this course after this experience. Save your money and play anywhere else or you will feel the same way.
Greens are atrocious
Can't believe a course that cost this much has greens and worse shape than a cow pasture. Save your money
Really liked this course
Came to area on vacation. I really enjoyed the course and would definitely play again.
First Timer
First time out at the course. Really enjoyed the course. Food was really good. Staff was super. I will definitely play again.
Always a good time…
From the breakfast in the morning to the friendliness of the staff, always a good time.
Needs a refresh
I’ve played here at least a dozen times and always enjoy the experience. But the upkeep of the course itself continues to decline in quality. The range, Tee boxes, greens, bunkers and even several fairways just need a break and some quality maintenance. The rest of the experience is great. Staff is always friendly and service is great.
Great course!
The course was in great condition. Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Pace of play was also excellent. Will definitely be back to play

Dear dgkim00,
Thank you for your review at Cowboys Golf Club! We hope to have you back soon.
Love the course the only reason it got the 3 star is the greens were aerated and not the best I've played on

Dear 2JT3cR1JMAwaqFG1BR77, thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad to hear you love the course, and we appreciate your understanding regarding the greens.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon, when the greens are back to their usual excellent condition. Thank you again for your review!
Worst value I've ever experienced
I have played golf for 25 years and this was easily the worst value round of golf of my life. For $240, my expectations are that not only are the facilities and quality of the course are first class, but also that the staff be friendly and helpful. I can honestly say for the price, not a single one of these three factors met an acceptable level. There were many dead spots on greens and teeboxes. Furthermore, the only places on the entire golf course where one could find fresh sod was off to the sides of holes near the cart path. Overall it is very clear the GM and greenskeepers are in over their head.
For a reference, I had the opportunity to play golf at Atlanta Athletic Club -- Highlands for about half of the cost of this golf course. The host of 3 PGA Championships, 1 US. Open, the US Amateur, 1 US Womens Open and 1 US LPGA Championship, which was in great conditions, cost much less than Cowboys GC.
I strongly urge anyone to avoid playing here at all costs!

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience. We strive for high standards and your feedback is invaluable. We’ll address your concerns with our team to improve our facilities and service. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and we hope for the chance to make it right.
