Creek Course #9 Photo submitted by GreerGolf on 06/06/2017
Course is in great shape tee to green for December
Continuation for Awesome Course
Only comment I have is that this is now the 2nd time I have played this course, but I was disappointed that there was no mention of having a kids tournament going on; therefore I was pushed out earlier than planned and was unable to warm up, even though I got there in plenty of time to do so. Additionally I was required to play the same front and back nine vs. playing two different 9-hole courses.
Pins were in some tough places today, but they were generally getable if putting well. Conditions were amazing again and this is becoming a favorite for me.
Senior tees
Course in great condition Beautiful and challenging. Need senior tees between 5000 and 5500. Whites were tough and reds a little short.
WOW - What a GEM!
When I first arrive in a new cirty, I love to go play golf and ask where others like to play. I have been in San Antonio now for a few months and one name that kept coming up was the Hyatt Resort Course - Well as my dumb luck would have it that is the Hill Country Country Club on Golf Now!
Here's my Review:
1. 27 hole opportunity
2. Course layouts different between each 9 hole layout. I played the Oaks and Lake and one was very tight and required targeted shots with very undulating greens; while they other was very much a "resort style" course - with wide fairways and forgivig approaches. Greens still had "character" thought too.
3. Warm Up Area looked nice and fully complete with bunker area too - I didn't use it because I got to tee off as soon as I got there because the course was generally empty.
4. Pace of Play - Amazing - 2.25 hours for 18 holes!
5. Carts - GPS with Rain Covers and BRAND NEW. Plus you get 2 waters per cart to boot!
6. Club House and Staff: nicely stocked, reasonable prices and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bottom Line - I would love to come back and play here again in less windy conditions, but I am in TX afterall.
Great round in Hill Country Club
A challenging course to play 27 holes.
Not easy even for low handicap players, because the narrow fairways.
One of the best I have played in San Antonio.
JRA
Not worth the cost
Course is very tight, small greens, pin placement was terrible
Friendly staff accommodating to children
Played a late afternoon round with my wife and 2 kids and didn't bring my 7 year old sons clubs but they offered a wedge he was able to chip with and a second cart for free. Finished 18 in just over 3 hours and the conditions were as good as could be given its still summer. Very friendly staff from the clubhouse to the starter and cart drop off (new club cars that were about 1 week old were a plus). I'd gladly come back again.
Great morning at hill country golf club
Staff was very accomadating and the course was in great shape.
Great course
Very nice course in great shape for this time of year, especially given the lack of rainfall in the San Antonio area. A very good mix of long and short holes, requiring both left, right and straight drive shapes. The greens were in great shape as well. Whether you’re playing from the tips or the red tees the course is very enjoyable and the staff was very accommodating and helpful.
Nice layout
Course in great shape. The punched greens last week. But was fine when I played. Staff not the friendliest. But not rude. Guy at counter didn't say much. Noticed I paid online. Just handed my ticket and nothing else.
