It's a great golf course.

Lost Pines is a beautiful golf course that is kept in great resort shape. Even a few days after torrential rains, the golf course was still in great condition, there were nice amenities, and it felt like a private course. I did not need to pay for parking (it was validated), and range balls were free...which makes sense given the price of this round.

The actual test of golf is great. It's a very long course that requires good driving. It's not narrow by any means but it requires precision thanks to doglegs, trees that are not easy to hit over, lots of bunkers, and elevation changes/sloped and undulating fairways and greens. This is also the first course in the area I've encountered that has punishing rough/native areas. The front 9 is harder than the back 9, and I felt lucky to get away with a 94 today.

A nice special occasion course, will definitely come back.

Can be good, but isn’t right now!

The tee’s were rough, the bunkers had big pebbles and was inconsistent, the hole edges were rough, a lot of damage on the greens. Idk if it’s because of the rainy weather and I just came on a bad day, but not worth it for the money you pay. Great layout though and definitely has the potential to be great.

Great Course- Insane Price

I have played this course at least a dozen times. It’s fantastic, especially after the recent revisions. However, their pricing vacillates from $100-$200 dollars dependent upon the timing. Last Sunday was $180. There was not one other group on the course. Call the pro-shop, ask what the day looks like, and negotiate a better rate. If they refuse, go play Falconhead or Greyrock. Total rip off.

Not what it used to be

Played LP 6-24-25 and was first time playing in summer months. Had played it many times during winter months over last several years.

But this time, we were very disappointed.

1. Greens were just aerated and so they were simply played as 2 putt max. While I was aware of the aeration, why wouldn't they offer a discount greens fee? Many courses do in that situation.

2. The worst parts of the course were the bunkers. Absolutely the worst I've experienced in a course of this caliber. Should be renamed "rock" bunkers instead of sand bunkers. Like hitting out of a gravel pit.

3. While the fairways and other non-green areas were OK, the course seemed dried out and crusty.

While my friend and I MIGHT play it again in the future, it has fallen down the list of courses we enjoy playing.

P.S. The pace of play was great-maybe a total of 6 golfers on the course.

Surprisingly good time!!

This is one of the more expensive public offerings in / around Austin TX. In my opinion, it was well worth it. The layout is a lot of fun. Several risk / reward holes. I like that. The course was in great shape. Not perfect, but really really good. Pace of play was excellent. Finished in 4 hours. That’s unheard of when golfing in or around Austin.

Save your money!

Way over priced for what you get. Tee boxes were horrible. Practice facility was horrible. 3 holes on putting green, 2 pins for chipping to, and 8-10 bays on the range. Greens were ok for an $80-$100 course, problem is the green fees are $190. Fairways were best part of the course. They were in good shape mostly. Layout was fun. They sent 4 groups of 5 out ahead of our tee time and the round took 5 1/2 hours. No marshal on the course to help with pace of play on a Saturday round. Cart girl we saw on #1 tee box and #10 tee box.

lost pines

This course was in excellent condition. the only negative is I had to pay $12 for parking because it is a resort. this seems rediculous since I paid to play their course.

Excellent course - fun layout

Excellent course in excellent condition. A really good mix of long, short, tough, and score-able holes. Some big risk reward short par 4s. I really enjoyed the layout and the course was in fantastic condition. Just a few spots on a few needing a tiny bit of work. I got a GolfNow deal price on it and 10/10 times would play it again at that rate. Worth it!

Course is in good shape

I’ve played here a handful of times in the last 20 years, it’s a fun experience. But I feel it’s gotten a little too proud for itself. This golf course is worth about $100 or less. I got a hot deal this time and it was $135 (at a time when rate was $225) and I still feel like I overpaid by about $50. It’s fine, just not worth the money these days.

Very enjoyable round

The greens are a little bumpy and a little slow but overall, I give them a solid B+. Fairways are slightly shaggy but pretty uniform and no bad spots that I saw. I grade the fairways with the same B+. Liked the friendly starter, very nice food and beverage at reasonable prices, iced towels on the course, GPS on the carts that worked well, built-in Bluetooth speaker on the cart that worked well, and comfortable cart seats. I had low expectations going in because of a few questionable reviews, but I think the recent rainfall and better than average course maintenance made this day a winner. 4.5 stars out of five overall.

Perfect Day

The course was in fantastic shape even with the previous few days. I loved the set up and it was worth every penny I spent on the Hot Deal. I will have to save up to ho play the course again, but it will be worth the wait. I highly recommend playing this course. *Side note* I was pleasantly surprised that the golf cart offered Blue Tooth capability along with the GPS of the course and yardage.
