About La Cantera Resort

Located just north of downtown San Antonio off the Highway 1604 loop is the La Cantera Resort, home to The Resort Course, designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf. It is a former host of the PGA Tour's Texas Open, featuring incredible elevation changes and sweeping views of San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country. La Cantera Resort features multiple dining areas and five pools. Just off property is Six Flags Fiesta Texas and The Shops at La Cantera. It is also near the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Beautiful hill country course in San Antonio. Past home of the Valero Texas Open. Great place to play.

Great Experience

By far one of the best maintained courses I've played. Despite being winter, the fairways were soft and playable (unlike other courses I played in San Antonio this week where the fairways were like concrete) and the greens were challenging but rolled smooth. I look forward to my next trip to San Antonio to play here again.

Good layout

Felt the price was little high for conditions. Many areas where equipment drove through soft areas tearing up the course. Lots of ground repairs happening which is needed due to damage
