Falcon head--Fun Course
My son and I played while vacationing on Lake Travis. He is a beginner, (less than ten rounds played), and I do not recommend this course for those with 25+ handicap...he struggled. I enjoyed the course as it reminded me of the hilly courses in Huntsville. Played mid day, which was not as hot as I expected for August. Course played a bit slow for mid day on a Tuesday, but it was worth it.
Nice
Great time! Great course! Great people working there!
Didn't give food a 5 just because I didn't eat, so honestly can't rate it.
Very challenging course
Very challenging layout! Course seems longer than 6700+ from gold tees. Was in excellent condition . Greens still a little bumpy from recent sanding but should be perfect in a few days.
Number 2 (#1 handicap hole ) is still one of the most difficult holes in Austin area.
Overall excellent shape and pace of play was great.
Maybe a little overpriced for the heat of the summer.
Falconhead is always perfect
Played this course for years and I still love it every time. Always in good shape and challenging as well.
Gem of a course
Had a terrific time at time. 8th hole is beautiful club up don't let the yardage fool you elevated green. I came in from Houston as part of a 4 day getaway worth every penny.
Great Course
The course was a great value especially if you play twilight.
Very Well Kept !
I grew up building Golf Courses w/ my dad. I can tell you this is a great course! I enjoyed the layout. The greens were in great shape ! The ball checked up nicely. Its in great shape and being well mamanged by the super. I will be back!
great views!
Course was in good shape after recent rain in the area. Greens had been punched earlier in week. Will definitely play again!
Great greens, course in great shape
Great elevation changes....awesome greens...friendly staff
New staff member is not a Golfnow fan
Apparently a new staff member (Rex) isn't a fan of Golfnow customers. We are apparently second rate citizens.
Great Golf Course
Booked online and the pro shop had the reservation but the starter didn't. This is the second time that the starter was unaware of my tee time. Some kind of problem syncing with the pro shop.
Beverage gal stopped by at no. 13 but was out of my beer. Said she would meet me at the next hole and have it. Never showed up.
This course is great!
When I play here I am usually entertaining clients and everyone I have brought here has loved the course and the customer service. The course and the greens are always in top notch condition and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
course in great shape
I liked everything about this course. It was in great shape, staff helpful and friendly, fellow golfers were pleasant, helpful and fun to play golf with; and definitely worth the price.
First Time At Falcon Head
This is was nice course and worth the price from GN. The course has a lot of elevation change and with the wind, can make quite a few holes challenging. If you do not hit your wedges accurately, you will find yourself in a lot of trouble. Up and Downs will be few and far between.
Nice layout
Falconhead has a good layout with some challenging holes, and yet very playable and fun. Course was in good shape , greens were a little grainy. Enjoyed our round.
Wonderful, beautiful course
This was my first time at Falconhead, and it's a much more beautiful and well kept course than what I usually play (munis and Grey Rock). The fairways were phenomenal and the greens somewhat soft for Texas and moderately fast. I'll definitely be coming back when I can snag hot deals on Golf Now. Regular price is a bit steep, but you get what you pay for.
Fun Falconhead
Fun course
Fantastic shape !
Challenging from the Black Tees
Will definitely return !
Great layout
Greens punched a week ago so a little slow and bumpy
Fair and Challenging
Falconhead is a good test of any golfer's skills no matter what level their game is at. The course always seems to be good shape as well as the greens. The driving range is a bit small, especially having to hit off of mats which is no favorite of mine. However, the practice putting green and chipping area are significantly larger.
Fun
The course is in good shape and very fun to play. The greens had recently been punched so they were understandably poor. The sand in the traps is beautiful to play out of. Good course.
