Our tee time was 1:45 but course was backed up so could not tee off until ~2:20. Only got 13 holes in .

Course in great shape … played 18 holes in under 3.5 hrs. (With an 8 am tee time) …. Had a great time … can’t wait to ply again !

Greens could be faster

Pace of play was terrible. 5 1/2 hours

I normally love this course, but this time was a disaster. We had a tee time of 1:09 and a pace card in the cart . At 1:09 I was waiting at the first tee whilst the group before me teed off. By half way we were 40 minutes behind schedule. Despite the Marshall passing us twice there was no action or explanation. We had to leave before completing our round. I was disgusted to see a two ball yet to tee off at another hole when the group in front of them was on the green…

My tip…. Don’t play on a Friday at this course

I last played here a couple years ago and was painfully slow round (5.5 hours). Gave it another try and was that a mistake. 3 groups on first tee, started 15 minutes late and 3 hour front nine. Teed off with about 5 hours of daylight and quit after 12 holes as there was no chance to finish all 18. I won’t make the mistake of playing at the slowest course in Austin again (Avery Ranch in the running as well).

That’s why I love playing golf in Texas. Hills and canyons.

I live in flat florida and love to come to a place like Texas to play courses with many different elevations.

Course is good. Some of the better greens in the area. Sand isn't great but better than most.

Range and practice facilities are terrific. Highly recommend.

Pace of play is always slow, expect a 5 hour round. Backs up on #2 and you'll be waiting every hole after.

Little food options and seems understaffed. it's a 50/50 shot you're able to get a hot dog or a drink at the turn. Food options and service is a huge opportunity for improvement.

I didn't give the Off Course amenities a good review because I had to leave right away. I prefer hitting range balls from grass. Greens were greatly improved from last time i played!

Other than being charged for my wife to ride with me on the cart, which is ridiculous! The course was very challenging by great. We really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely be back whenever visiting the Austin area again.

Falconhead is consistent, they are always just above average but not blowing your socks off. It is a great course. They handle tournements and events well. They always maintain a level of quality that you'd expect from them (but nothing more). Not a complaint, I am not complaining this is a solid 7 of 10 review and they have kept that for years.

Great course and greens and fairways are in great shape! Would play here again and again. If your considering this course, book it you won’t regret it.
